Me please depending on format and genres. I may not get to every meeting but sounds like it could be fun. Do we have to buy the books to participate or can we get them from the library?

Sure! But I have to admit, it does depend on the types of books....

I'm very interested but it would also depend on the genre of books chosen. Usually I'm up for just about anything though and I love to read.

I would LOVE a book club! However, the books would have to be available on Audible because I listed to them while driving and shooting photos. I wonder if it would be possible to join on amazon and listed to the selected books on Audible?

One thing to consider...I have a book club with students. We meet once a month on zoom. We don't all read the same things. We talk about what we are reading, what themes are in our books, authors, etc. or to get ideas about what to read next. Even folks who haven't read anything in common still can participate in the discussion. Kind of like the weekly reading thread, but live. Sometimes we share what's in our tbr stacks so if some people are interested in trying to read the same book or overlap. Just an idea, since folks are all over the board with genres.

Sounds good. I'm going to start a poll on whether we want it to be a public book club or a private one.

My workplace does similar but each month does follow a general theme (read a book…by a new to you author; with a strong female main character; that was published at least 50 years ago; that is set in a foreign country; that was written by an author from your home province; that has a theme of redemption; etc.) This allows everyone to choose something that suits their own tastes but the discussion and sharing may intrigue others into venturing into a book style of writing or genre that they might otherwise have not considered.

I LOVE this idea, esp if a chosen book does not interest me

It would depend on the books chosen. I’ve been in a book club with friends for about 12 years and I’ve read some great books I never would have tried if it wasn’t for the club. There have been some turkeys too. For the most part we all have similar tastes in books.

I'd check it out, but it would definitely depend on the books chosen. I guess call me that occasional member who shows up when the snacks are good? This is me exactly! I voted in the poll and am curious to see how it goes!

Would anybody be interested in joining? If you can find the book clubs on Amazon, search foe 2 Peas. Send a request to join and add your pea name. I'll try and figure out how to get you guys added I requested to join, but there was no option (or at least I didn't see it, lol) to add my Pea name.
