I keep checking in on this thread now & again. Thought I would join in the fun. Hoping I can be more active here on the board than I have been. I normally scrapbook 3 times a year when I do long weekend crops, but I have been in a scrappy slump since October. We lost our last remaining darling kitty and that just seemed to wipe out all my mojo. So I have been focusing on cards. I have actually made over 300 cards since January. I have donated the majority of them, but need to find some other local organizations that would be happy to receive them. For many years, I have been tracking my supplies (in vs. out). So far this year, I have used up a lot more than previous years of scrapping and occasional cards. Because I rarely use up an entire collection/pack/roll/etc. I try to think in terms of using up the equivalent of something (i.e. roll of tape, paper pack/pad). In the past 6 months, I have used more than: 17 rolls of ATG 101 sheets of 12x12 patterned paper 56 sheets of 6x6 patterned paper 424 sheets of 8.5x11 cardstock 62 4x6 photo matts (cut them down for card fronts) 12 doilies 53+ yards of washi tape I have also been using lots of stamps & dies and occasionally my embossing folders. I have emptied a small roll of washi tape, which felt great. Then I had to toss one because it was too sticky and was unusable because it kept tearing and the adhesive would stick the the non-sticky side. Oddly enough, it was a pricier roll than one of the cheap ones. I find that the Recollections rolls that I have had for 5-10 years are still working great. I have a scrapbook crop/retreat this week and am hoping to actually scrapbook this time around. I think I am so much more productive with cards, but hoping to make a dent in some of the neglected parts of my stash. I am overrun with supplies and really need to make a much larger dent than I already have this year. That's amazing! We have a card donation thread on the card board with chitchat and card drive info. You're always welcome to check that out or ask any questions you might have OR feel free to share about the cards you're donating locally 2peasrefugees.boards.net/thread/103674/card-donations-resources-sharing

Made a sheeeetload of cards (24 in total) using several new-to-me items that I bought recently or that I adopted from the round robin swap - Used a whole paper pad that wasn't really my style but was perfectly usable. - Finally used the stamps that go with my favorite Converse die set. - Used some grungy yellowish vellum that I pulled out of my only official DecDaily (2013?) that I deconstructed. and I used some of my favorite supplies too including that Converse die I have a love/hate relationship with. ALSO! I just remembered that I used up all but a few scraps of adhesive sheets that I always forget to use (that are actually really helpful) and that I made do by using scor-tape after I ran out, and that worked just fine.

I saw those cards on your insta joblackford, I'm always amazed how few scraps you end up with, and the cards all looked fabulous.

Today I ended up getting almost all of those remaining scraps glued inside the cards as little decorative banners I think I threw away less than 10 tiny bits in the end. So satisfying.

Made a layout with a Paper Rose collection and didn't buy embellishments to go with it. So I dug out my old stash to embellishment. Things from my stash - embroidery floss, ribbon, Basic Grey fibers, doily, and I used an old butterfly punch. I was quite pleased with myself. Some of that stuff I bought 10-15 years ago. I don't know why I don't think to dig that stuff out more.

Yesterday I made a layout completely with old Graphic 45 paper. I had a sheet of mermaid paper and wondered why in the world I had mermaid paper. It was one of those instances when I didn't need it but it was so pretty! Well, I used it. Along with octopi- but I always like octopi. It turned out pretty nice.
I also made a layout totally with old Authentique. It wasn't always my style but I have a beach line that I love so much. I've really liked the layouts I made with it, and yesterday's was no exception.
And yesterday I made a layout with October Afternoon Midway. Probably one of my favorite collections of all time. I don't know how many layouts I made with it when it was new (a lot!) but I bought a ton (multiples of the papers, all of the embellishments, etc.) of it and I'm so glad I did. There aren't many carnival type lines and I can always use that theme. Anyways, I did a layout with it yesterday and it was so fun. I miss October Afternoon.
So yesterday I was reaching way back in my stash. It feels good to get old lines out that I really loved.

Love seeing what everyone is using from their scrap stashes.
I am still recovering from a weekend crop from 2 weeks ago. It was the first I have actually scrapped in a year. (The past year I have been doing tons of cards, but no layouts.)
I completed 17 layouts for a recent Punta Cana vacation. I was so thrilled, I have had a couple Prima Ingvild Bolme resin embellishments in my stash since approx. 2011. I finally used three of them on a page, which finished off the 4-piece set. I still have a different 2-piece set that I think may make it to one of the vacation layouts next time I scrap, which will probably be in October.
I didn't get to finish off any packs of enamel dots or any other packs of embellishments, but I did manage to use 43 enamel dots over those 17 layouts. Haven't made as many cards the past month & a half, but still used lots of washi tape, stamps, and dies on the cards I did get done.
It felt good to finally get my scrapping mojo back and looking forward to more at my next crop/retreat.

I used a sample size pack of paper from Waffle Flower to make a batch of cards. It was gift from the round robin I hosted. I added to my stash though because I bought a die set to use with it. DOH!

I used up loads of very vintage looking journalling cards in a pocket page. They've been something that mocks me every time I flip through my journalling card stash, so I'm thrilled to have found the perfect page for them.

I used a piece of 12x12 paper from 2006. It was the perfect shade of green! I've also recently finished a sheet of VB stickers and and sheet of SC chipboard.

I used the last of a set of freebie card panels I got from Honey Bee, probably not from last year but the year before.

Does anyone remember Fibers By The Yard? It was an on-line store, and just like the name indicates, they offered all sorts of fibers (some ribbons) by the yard. I had ordered way too much back in the day and hardly used any. Well, yesterday I actually used up one of those many, many little baggies of fibers. Only a drawer full left to use up, LOL!
I used it on two cards. I think I am going to try using some fiber/ribbon on more card fronts, and keep using washi on the insides and see if I can get more of those two items out of my stash and onto my cards.

I used all but some branding strips and a few sentiments from a 12x12 Paper Rose Christmas collection + the matching die cuts to make 61 cards to donate And I used up the last couple of pieces of SU vellum by cutting it into strips to bundle around donation cards. The weight of it wasn't very good for my cardmaking purposes, a bit too thin. I think it was a hand-me-down I rescued. Worked really well for the bundling though. I just got some nicer weight vellum so I also declared "scrap bankruptcy" and tossed out almost all of the old scraps. I might have to admit that I never use the scraps, but for now I'm just saving the heavyweight scraps that are a decent size.
