I made a thread about papers and designs that turn me off. Now here is one on things we love.
Here are some of the papers that jump in my cart every time:
-Plaids, especially diagonal ones. -Grunge. I love grunge and graffiti. It fits a lot of the things I scrap. -Wood. I love a good wood paper for backgrounds and mats. -Big cats- lions, cheetahs, tigers, leopards, jaguars... I have a weakness for them. -Coffee and beer. I buy every one of those papers, usually in multiples. -Lemons. I have no idea why I dislike watermelon prints and like lemon ones. -Deer. I love them- I love walks in the forest and you can use them for Christmas too. For me they are versatile. -Rabbits. I love rabbits. It isn't just scrapbooking, either. I have a hard time not buying bunny statues, paintings, etc. Easter is dangerous for me. -Retro- midcentury modern, 1970s, etc. It always attracts me. -Alice in Wonderland. I buy every line that relates to it. I think I have 5 different lines now.
What papers/designs/motifs are you attracted to?

Anything related to photography. I will buy almost any paper that has cameras on it and hoard it (notice I didn't say use it, lol).

Plaids, florals and stripes especially in pastel colors. The only motifs I seem to love are butterflies and hearts. Patterned paper or cardstock that is purple. There is not enough usage of my favorite color 💜

I love a micro polka dot. Making Memories had a patterned paper that was light pink with maroon mini dots. It was lovely. I still have a small piece in my scraps that I will use eventually.
Converse shoes, cameras, lemons, tea cups, rain drops and whales are all icons I enjoy.
Lately I’ve been drawn to the bright watercolor washed backgrounds a la 49 & Market. They are so pretty!
I know a lot of people are over florals, but I’ve really enjoyed them the last couple of years.

For basics love diagonal plaids, diagonal stripes and subtle tone on tone ledger papers. I also can't resist a nice polka dot paper.
For motifs, you can count me in on photography related paper (cameras, film strips, etc), leopard print, hearts, and anything with bright swatches of colour.

I love color! My scrapbooks are full of bright happy color. I usually gravitate to the B side of paper because I think the smaller more basic patterns are more versatile. Love, love a good stripe and plaid. Lately I’m into travel lines and motifs.

Papers with wood grains, adorable animals, and space themes always seem to jump into my cart. I also love smaller polka dot prints.

I love wood grains, plaids, water prints, and anything ombre.
I'm also a big fan of subtle tone-on-tone papers, particularly dots.

Lately anything outdoorsy with a deer on it is in my basket. I just bought the Paper Rose Winter Woodland collection and just have it sitting out as inspiration.

Papers: Plaids. I love them all, but I especially love a plaid which pulls together all of the main colours of a kit Stripes. Wide or narrow, two-tone or multi-coloured, nautical, ticking: I love stripes of all kinds Tiny polka dots Small and delicate florals Damasks with an old-fashioned feel, and any paper that reminds me of vintage wallpaper Maps and topographic papers Full-page scenes (even though I find them difficult to use!)
Elements/motifs: Deer Whales Little houses and cottages Campers/vans Gingham ribbons and bows. For me, they never get old, and they’re a classic for a reason
Themes: I love anything vintage or retro, including vintage farmhouse, vintage nautical, retro camping, retro kitchen.

I love tone on tone prints. I have bought multiple packages of the Bella Besties (plaid, ombre, dots, hearts), Doodlebug Petite Prints (gingham, floral, dots) and Echo Park (gingham, dots). They are neutral and can mix and match with other patterns or be used by themselves.

My ideal kit has several coordinating solids/tone-on-tones AND coordinating patterns that include all or most of the colors in the kit. The templates I use have lots of paper layers, and my preference is to layer them pattern-solid-pattern-solid-etc. Of course, I love a good floral or plaid or polka dot. Wordy papers really depend on the font the words are in and how big or small they are on the paper.
My favorite papers are ones that look like they've already had mixed media added to them like Studio Basic or Little Butterfly Wings.

Beach and lake paper and motifs. I can't wait to get my hands on Heidi Swapp's Sail one. I am also a sucker for lemons and strawberries.

I love plaids and wood grains. I like the neutrals so I don't have to worry about if it is a his/hers type of paper, but once in a while I'll find one that is brightly colored that I will pick up.
I love anything nature, outdoors, forest-y, that I can use for my dad and brother. My dad was a smokejumper, and he gave me my love of forests. Both my dad and brother like the outdoors, a little fishing, a little camping, etc.
I like big cats, too, as well as deer and other wildlife, but I want them wild and not in a circus or zoo.
I like small, sophisticate florals, not big splashy ones.
I like galaxies (that look like galaxies) and I like some grunge.
I like "generic" winter papers that I can use for both holidays and winter in general.

My four favourite papers are flowers, dots, stripes, and mixed media. If a kit has all of those, and the colours are nice, I will definitely buy it. My ideal kit has several coordinating solids/tone-on-tones AND coordinating patterns Yes! Tone on tone patterns...... I don't see anywhere near enough of those in digital kits. I'd probably use one on nearly every page if I had them.

If it’s a black and white pattern chances are super high I’ll buy it 😂
Polka dots- but they have to be the “right” kind. If I like the look I can do all types of dots - size, color -but my favorites are more “casual” scattered Esther than repeated rows.
Circles- basically bigger polka dots. 😂 bonus points is they are wonky shaped
Words- I love a good text based paper.
Floral - but again, the “right” kind.
Distressed or ombré distressed type papers
“Happy colors”/unusual combos- I love a hot pink/orange combo or yellow and pink, etc.
Any papers that have a certain playful, colorful vibe like hand drawn daisies
I don’t really care for any motifs. I like to scrap with color, patterns, and words rather than objects/motifs.

Fall: traditional colors like burnt orange, softer orange, cranberry red, lighter red, light blues, greens, soft grays, purples, creams. Maple leaves, pumpkins, and scarecrows for motifs but subtle. Oh and plaids.
Halloween: bats and ghosts and pumpkins! Orange and black and purple. I also like lines at Halloween time or ombre.
Christmas: snowmen, Santa, Holly, reindeer, trees, towns or buildings that are decorated. Greens, reds, creams, pinks, turquoise for colors. Stripes here too but not plaid.
Spring: not into the super soft or overly saturated colors or plaids or bunnies or flowers. I usually do my own thing here. I do like bunny stamps but that's it.
Summer: ombre rainbows, ombre blues, ombre sunshine, sun glows, colors of blue, yellow, orange. I prefer solids that I can add embellishments too for summer.
Over all I soft have a lot of favorite patterns or motifs. It ebs and flows.

Another fun question artbabe. I love gingham, polka dots, vintage-y images (although I wish there were more color in them, not just the sepia-tone), and farm prints. I haven't lived on a farm in 50 years but still like the images if they're not the cartoon-y type. Let's see, I also like the texture of Carta Bella papers, enamel dots, and (along with judyc) dragonflies.

-I love retro mid-century modern vibes.
-mid century or a vintage farmhouse vibe for a recipe album.
I'm drawn to boy, boy teen, camping, outdoors, and more masculine themes. Not necessarily a certain motif, but the colors that are usually in those lines. My daughter is into Comic Con and Star Wars. I now have a pretty good selection of galaxy type of papers and even better if it has more purple instead of blue.
I tend to obsess before I make a purchase. So motifs I want to get more of is stars; Metal dies, puffy stickers, diecuts... Pattern paper with small subtle patterns, tickets, tags, icons (like planner icons), butterflies, and hearts.
I'm not sure everything I listed is considered motif. I kind of rambled.

My favorite motifs are linear/symmetrical/not wonky & non-themed: - Line (creates stripe, plaid, grid, etc. patterns) - Dot/circle (especially small: e.g. Bazzill Dotted Swiss cardstock) - Sparkle/asterisk/star - Heart (on every layout)

Woodgrain.
Small polka dot.
Blue sky with clouds, and raindrops/umbrellas.
Mountain and also beach themed.
Western, Farm, and Texas themes.
Autumn leaves and pumpkins.
Cute, not creepy Halloween themes.
Flowers.

I scrap by theme, and buy the collections/papers/extras to support them: seasonal, Christmas, farm/garden/ranch, outdoor play, sports (mainly hockey and baseball), family.
For patterns, I think plaids are my favourites, especially fine line plaids that tie together several of the colours I am scrapping. Florals are my least used.
For colours, I love most shades of blue. Then comes most primary colours, then copper or woodgrain or kraft. And of course black. And white. Not a real fan of cream or pastels or murkey shades.
The other papers I love are tone-on-tone in dots or stripes or watercolour, in thick tearable papers like 49& Market.
