Let's use this thread to share our card creations through JUNE ! I hope everyone will continue to share. And that those who have not shared, might consider it <hint, hint>. I get a ton of inspiration from photos of other people's cards! If you need instructions on how to post photos here, there are EASY instructions here: 2peasrefugees.boards.net/thread/131927/wanna-learn-post-pictures-come. I almost 100% card-lifted these from Nichol Spohr. I changed the sentiments, size, adding a little bling but the rest is all her. How cute are these? grammadee, could you please pin this when you can? Thank you!

They are adorable, MichyM ! I've been playing with the Simon Hurley kit tonight! Having some fun! You were much more successful with the cactus stencils than I was! But, you've inspired me to sit down and give them another go. And I love what you did with the floral image. Did you make the pink/coral BG, or is that a patterned paper?

Did you make the pink/coral BG, or is that a patterned paper? That pink background is just ink blending with a brush. I used the same color as I did to stamp the petals. I used a piece of scrap paper to block off the center oval (using the Brutus Monroe oval die). I had trouble with the cactus stencil lifting up and black ink getting under the stencil. I need to find some of that sticky spray to use to keep it down while blending. If you look closely, you can see a shadow on both cards where the ink got under the stencil.

Have you used the spray before? I bought Pixie Spray last spring and have found that it leaves a residue that is very difficult to remove. I've not been able to completely remove it from a couple of stencils. Have you considered using the stick and stamp mat in our C+C boxes? Or a magnetic mat and magnet? You could even use your stamping platform.

Thanks for the warning about the Pixie Spray. I should just slow down when blending inks so I’m more careful.
I’m going to try the stick and stamp mat, haven’t yet. I ink blend on a silicone mat so my paper doesn’t move. I could probably use some repositional adhesive on the stencil part that lifts up.

I got some for a stencil that is quite delicate and not only did it not stick to the paper, the goopy residue never came off and now the stencil is hard to use as some of the stuff is on the inner parts where you rub ink. I have tried a magic eraser and dawn with baking soda and vinegar and that wouldn't even touch it. I tossed my can as quickly as it arrived from Amazon (same day).

I use the mint tape from Scrapbook.com and make a full border around the stencil. I also fold it to have it double sides sticky and secure the paper I am working with to my work surface. I then use my hand to hold it taught and work in small sections. So far that seems to work best. I go through a lot of mint tape but it works!

I am ridiculously stingy with mint tape, given that I always buy it on sale, have at least two spare rolls on hand, and generally can't stop shopping for crafty things. Adhesive is a terrible thing to hoard.

These are so cute pantsonfire! I just love all that you've been making with that first set of stamps and dies, and I was a happy recipient of one of your bunny cards just the other day <3

This is the new Create in Quads from Taylored Expressions. This first set of cards I did not mask as much as I should have and made several boo-boos. The second photos that has more multicolored was masked with teeny tiny bits all over the place! So much so that I took a pic of the pile of mint tape! Whoa, those are gorgeous cards! Now do the stencils also have matching dies or did you fussy cut? Not familiar with TE products.

I made this card today after seeing a Taylored Expressions post (from 2019) on IG that used a balloon die. I was like I bet I could make something similar with my QuicKutz nesting balloon die set. I cut the balloon die out on 110 pound cardstock and inked 5 colors. Instead of drawing the strings, I splattered confetti on the card with Dylusions shimmer sprays. Quite happy with the result. http://instagram.com/p/CrUIFoCPcYE

I kept the balloon dies and used some mint tape folded on the back to cover the inked balloons. A little did get on the pink balloon but it is hidden by the happy birthday die cut.

MichyM because of your beautiful coloring and cards on the TE stencil yesterday I almost bought the whole set at my LSS, but than I talked myself out of it for now.

My crafty twin on IG showed me the stencils done with Christmas colors, just beautiful, and now seeing the cards by MichyM I'm wavering. I had decided I definitely didn't need this set but... it's so pretty! I don't think I would do much masking on it but even the single colored examples are beautiful. Stenciling is really hard on my hands and arms though, so I might be better sticking with patterned papers.

Yeah, TE does an interesting mix with the quad and triple-slim stencil sets. Some have dies, others stamps, but it seems the majority are stand-alone.

I made a fun fold plaid shirt card! I don't know if I love it or not but it was kind of fun and different. The sleeves fold back so it fits comfortably in an A2 envelope I have lots of single sided plaid papers I could do this with. April - shirt fun fold by jo.blackford, on Flickr

In answer to your question about the TE Create in Quads set, I bought one of the die sets. It cuts the angles pieces, and includes a second die that cuts the large bouquet. There is one more than cuts out the center of one of the designs but I don't feel like I need to cut that part out.

In my opinion there should be at least one more. The branches and center of flowers are on the same stencils. So unless you want green flower centers (which turn out muddy green since we're adding the green over the flower color), there's some serious masking needed. Also, on the second set, I masked the flowers a LOT so I could add more colors. I'd happily pay more for more stencils over masking each and every time!

When Taylor did her video introducing this set, she showed them in holiday colors and they are stunning! I made her fall C+C triple slim florals into holiday cards and they turned out beautifully so I cannot wait to do the same with these!
