What I have been thinking about is their flagrant disregard of...well, so many things really.
And they literally make little to no sense even if I believed in their hateful rhetoric. They say it's all about saving the children, ALL the children from mutilation and that BS.
They are also fixated on trans people playing in sports. Not fair and unsafe is 2 of their main talking points. Yet many of their new laws they are and trying to pass are more targeted to women's and girl's sports. Claiming unsafe/unfair.
Yet they all but ignore trans boys playing in male sports. Wouldn't it be, by their definition, unsafe for trans boys to play in boys sports? What happened to "all the children"?
Nothing, because they don't mean it.
Even if they weren't being twisted bigots, their logic isn't logical. Their story has huge holes but they don't care as long as it works. Of course their just playing a game and spreading hate so as long as they spread fear into uninformed people to hate, they win anyway, in their minds.
So much for "all" the children.
All that ⬆️ before even reading this thread. Will do now.

aj2hall said: Elections matter at every level including local town elections, school boards etc. I can't like and stress this enough. As a Wisconsinite I was more fixated in the state Supreme Court election. (Yay!) I almost didn't vote for school board as being a newcomer to this area I don't know many people, unaware of local politics and hard to come by info. Then I read comments by a school board candidate in an online local Facebook page. Belittling and both homophobic and transphobic. Uncaring at best. So I dug deeper. From what I could find it seems the candidate was long time resident, the incumbent, a good ole boy type that thinking they were the known local "cool kid" he was golden. Free to say what everybody else must obviously feel. Put a fire under my a$$. Yeah, I dug deeper. And voted, voted, voted for non-hateful people, from what info I could find. He lost. He lost big. The results were posted on line and one of the first comments was something like; They, she, him, the people, the silent majority has spoken. Take that good old boys that speak the loudest, you dont always win. Sometimes in fact, you come in last place. And this candidate did. Thank goodness. I'm certainly glad I went the extra (investigative) mile. Gave me more hope for this seemingly red and redneck area. Vote at the least. Protest and fight like hell anyway you can.
