Spellbinders had a limited edition card kit called Santa Lane that came out last November I think. I’m not into card kits, and I definitely wouldn’t spend $119.99 for one but I really wanted the dies that came with it and the stamp set was nice too. I’ve been periodically checking to see if the kit went on sale and it did but it was still $75. Well, Spellbinders is having their warehouse sale right now and I was able to get the kit for $35. I’m a happy little cardmaking camper .

I have several things on my wishlist there and debating whether or not to bite or wait and hope they don't sell out. (Especially since I placed an order last month)

I love "bottom feeding" especially since my taste seems a bit outside the mainstream, so I'm often interested in items in stock at clearance time. This month I've hit both Spellbinders and Stampin' Ups clearance sales.

Nice! It looks like they have some good deals going on.
I just took a look at a few folk art dies I wanted from them but seeing them again through non-influenced eyes I realize I can’t be bothered with all the fiddly little bits.

I'm another one that doesn't like those fiddly little bits and pieces. I do love the end result, though!

"Fiddly little bits" is my problem with Spellbinders in general. I see some of the things JMcG does from them and get the heebie-jeebies just watching. But I didn't find the pieces too small and fiddly in the C&C Spellbinders project for the most part. Many of my clearance items were from the same designer and didn't look TOO fiddly. If I'm wrong, time to re-home, I guess.

Sigh, I bit the bullet because four of the 10 items I had in my cart sold out and I didn't want to miss out on anything else. Gosh darn FOMO!

I placed an order last night for five embossing folders, and two sentiment stamp sets for Christmas cards. Seven items for $26, not bad at all. Shipping.......$6.13 for 1st class shipping. I hate paying for shipping, but didn't see a code for free shipping.
At an average of $4.72 per item, I thought it was okay. One stamp set was $14 and the other $19.

I fall victim to free-shipping syndrome more often with lower thresholds for free shipping and high flat rates below -- OfficeSupply.com where it's only $45 or even Michael's at $50. The amount I have to add more often approaches the amount I'd pay for shipping in those cases. Adding $10 or 11 to save $9 in shipping is wicked to easy to justify.
And part of the reason I always have ample spare adhesive and vaguely random assorted packs of solid card stock for die cutting and card panels.

I bought a background stamp and a background embossing folder. I am often drawn to embossing folders with an image instead of a pattern and then I'm not sure what to do with them. I'm trying to get better about that.
Then I went hard in on Becca Feeken. I might have thought this too fiddly at one time, but my experiences at C&C (both putting together other Spellbinders dies AND discovering that quickie glue pen -- it's not just for glitter!) have increased my confidence. I don't understand why these were so drastically marked down. I thought they were gorgeous and versatile.

There are some smoking deals on some very nice product on the site. WOW! Including a number of items that I paid full price on.
I started putting things in my cart when I got home late last night, and then tapped out at about 1am, before I'd made it halfway through the sale section. Thought I would finish up and place an order today but then talked myself out of it. That is a huge surprise cuz I'm usually fairly easily enabled by you all. YAY me, again "saving money."

You got me to look. There are some very fun things and good deals, but I honestly don’t use the Spellbinder dies (that I do have) often enough to justify buying more. Some are still waiting to be used. I have enough. At least that is what I keep telling myself.

I was happy to find one of the steel rule dies I've been wanting for felt projects on deep discount, so I bought 2! I may have added a stamp set and foil plate that matches a die set I have, too.

discovering that quickie glue pen The Quickie glue pen in great! I got one in a kit years ago and it never dried out. Really worth it for the fiddly pieces. I love Spellbinders. I wish I could take advantage of the sale but the shipping to Canada is too expensive. They just got some new cardstock colours and I'm dying to get my hands on them, although they're probably not on sale. Still, I'd add them to my sale order to get free shipping if I could. I'm jealous of you all!

I got my order last Monday and I believe I ordered the previous Wednesday. I was expecting it to be delayed due to the heavy order volume but it wasn’t. Did you get the delayed shipping email yesterday? I thought it was odd that I got it since my order was already delivered. It said:

I ordered on the 19th and my package should arrive Monday, here in North Carolina. Their website says add extra shipping time due to increased orders.

I did get two emails the day I ordered (4/21/23), one for the order and one for some points. They charged my credit card the day I ordered, though. Where are they coming from? Are they in Utah?

I ordered on the 19th and my order arrived this past week. I’m pretty sure it was Thursday at the latest. On Thursday I got the shipping delay email — so, yes, after my order arrived. At the time I received my shipping notice email (which is in deleted on my computer; I’ll check when that arrived after I get up) my order was still showing as unfulfilled on the web site. It does now finally show as fulfilled — for a time I was wondering if I’d receive duplicates.
EtA my complete timeline: 4/19 -- placed order 4/21 -- received shipped email (order still showed as "unfulfilled" on site) 4/24 -- order received 4/27 -- received shipping delay email (I don't remember if I checked the order state on the site that day) 4/29 -- order shows as fulfilled on site
They seem to be messed up or confused in some sort of way.

I ordered Wednesday 4/19 and it shipped (too quickly - I was out of town and counting on the delayed shipping) Friday 4/21 and it got to California on Monday 4/24. I guess I was lucky or something? Or had a small order? I had 9 small things in it...

I ordered on 4/21 and received the "sorry about the delay" email on 4/27. I expect it will ship some time next week. MDscrapaholic, it sounds like you and I ordered at the tail end of the sale so our orders will be that last to be shipped. The one time I had an issue with shipping (it was UPS hand off to USPS shipping), but order was lost somewhere between the hand off (UPS said it handed off, USPS said they never got it), Spellbinders gave me a refund.
