I store mine in rainbow color order for the most part. I do have some sorted by theme (Christmas, rainbow, etc.) I also have some collections stored in vinyl record sleeves. All is stored vertically and most in the paper holders by Storage Studios. Then I keep them all (along with 12x12 cardstock) in my Kallax.

Organized by theme. Papers that don't fit a theme are organized by ROYGBIV colors. They are stored in a combination of display dynamic trays, vertical paper holders, and 12x12 envelopes. I don't like to spend a lot on storage. I just make sure all the papers are in the same area.

I keep them grouped by designer (Vicki Boutin) or company (Simple Stories).

Rainbow order--solids and b sides/tone on tones then non-themed rainbow by predominant color. With a small rainbow section. I have a couple older videos where i show my paper storage-- youtu.be/BPc3ED0bSUwThis is how I still store mine: youtu.be/cXSdt3YeQoM Except I have gotten rid of my Cropper Hoppers but do use the CM pockets for my themes, still. Then one is posting tomorrow where I break apart my 6x6 pads and integrate them with my 6x8 and 8 1/2 x 11.

I think a lot of this depends on whether you have a manageable amount of paper or an insane amount. I’m always jealous of people who have these beautiful craft rooms with everything stored pretty. I would love that. Unfortunately I’m in the “insane amount” category. Twenty years of paper, minus a few purges. The struggle is real. Haha. I feel I have an insane amount, but it is organized! Most of it organized and labeled into 10-20 pieces in baggies with printed labels. I like organizing as much as scrapping apparently.

Thanks for your responses. I've stored patterned paper - organized primarily by manufacturer - vertically in magazine-style paper holders/pouches on shelves in my ladder bookcase for almost two decades! This system allows quick & easy access to peruse, insert, & remove individual sheets. ETA: ... I like organizing as much as scrapping apparently. Same. Sometimes I'm uncertain which is my primary hobby!
