Thank you. I haven’t heard anything and am getting more discouraged every day. You’d think customer service would be high on their to-do-well list. I guess not. craftmepink , I’m glad your issue was finally resolved.

MDscrapaholic I’m so pissed off for you about spellbinders crappy customer service. It’s not something I would do under normal circumstances but at this point I’d probably order another betterpress from amazon and return the broken one.

So, it's been almost four weeks, and I wanted to update everyone. I have not heard a thing from Spellbinders regarding the broken BetterPress. I did take lokismom 's advice and ordered another BetterPress from the same seller on Amazon. I carefully checked everything - nothing broken, but the ink pad was missing. I'm wondering if this seller gets castoff/broken items from Spellbinders for resale? I filled out the return form to return the broken one, and put defective item as the reason for return. A button popped up, and said to click it to reach out to Spellbinders for assistance. Well, I was certainly not going to go that route, so I closed it out and thought about it. Why not just return it as "no longer needed" or "duplicate purchase." Well, I got angry - if I did that, someone else would be the recipient of the defective press and have to jump through the same hoops. Not gonna happen. So I went back on Amazon and filled out the form again, with defective item checked. Told them what was wrong with it. This time, I just scrolled past the Spellbinders assistance button and all that it said about contacting them first, blah blah blah, and WAY DOWN AT THE BOTTOM of the page - there was another button to continue with the return. I finished filling out the form, and they told me to take it to Staples to return it. Once they received my return, they would credit my account. So my money has been refunded, and I have a working BetterPress. The fact that Spellbinders did not respond to my emails/phone calls, at all, leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Be aware - if you purchase something of theirs - whether you purchase it from them or someone else - their customer service sucks. I am glad others are making press plates (PinkFresh, Altenew, etc.) and am thinking of signing up for the PinkFresh event.

I'm so glad you now have a working BetterPress, but I hate that Spellbinders isn't the one who assisted you with making good on a defective product. That's terrible.

Ugh. I am so sorry you had to go to so much trouble! But I'm glad you finally have a like new machine.
For what it's worth, my Better Press (purchased from Scrapbook dot com) also came without the ink pad. Quality Control seems to be an issue in that regard.
