Overthinking my cardstock storage! Do you prefer to Pre-Cut card bases and fronts or not. If you do… what are your storage tips? thank you

I prefer pre-cut but will cut my own card bases if necessary. I finally got a Score Buddy this year so can score and fold them quickly.
I keep cardbases in a box my envelopes came in. They are the perfect size.

I don’t pre-cut. It’s easier and takes up less space to just store a ream of paper on my bookcase then to store the pre-cuts. If I’m doing a bunch of cards at one time then I’ll cut and score all the bases first. If I have a few left over then they go in the little basket on my desk.

I rarely take the time to cut and score large numbers of card bases, mostly because I don't have extra crafty time. I do cut extras when I am cutting them for a project. Theoretically, it seems like a great idea. I bought one of SB.C's storage boxes ( link), thinking that the lid would fit on it with A2 bases on their sides. Unfortunately, the lid projects into the box when it's on correctly, so this didn't really work. The lid is sort of upside down on top. If I didn't want it covered, it would be a great solution. I have a weakness for colored card stock assorted packs and often cut at least a sheet or two of each color into panels, for die cutting as well as for card fronts/matting layers. These I have in a SB.C "envelope storage" thingy ( link), separated by manufacturer in ROYGBIV order. This I like very much. Might work better for the bases than what I have them in, actually. I also like that it's NOT plastic, but heavy-duty fiberboard covered with something.

I buy pre cut/scored card based from CTMH when they are on sale. I store them in a cupboard in my desk.

I do not pre-cut. It’s easier to just store and manage the full sheets of paper vs that and assorted card bases.

I had reams cut by Fed Ex to be card fronts, top fold cards and side fold. I store them in idesign containers. It's so easy to grab one and start creating.

I recently had an "ah-ha" moment that changed how I thought about this. I used to cut the card bases only as needed, mostly because I hated doing it, and often when I scored them to fold they folded badly.
Then I realized that my Creative Memories trimmer - the one with the rotary cartridges, had a cartridge for scoring. I tried it one day and it worked better than anything I'd done before. A neat score with a close to perfect fold. Way better than any I'd done with any of the score boards I'd tried.
So now, I cut out a bunch of card bases, switch out the cartridge and then score and fold them all. I store them in a cloth bin in my Ikea unit along with other papers and envelopes.

I pre make my card bases. I have a wooden box that they fit perfectly- my dad made them for me to organize my stamps.
I make lots of cards with the SLoC, than I have a card making club I make card kits for every month about 12-16, than card kits for Hospice volunteers to put together. Its just so much easier to pull out the card bases I need, than to create them at the time.
I don't cut card panels, but I'm thinking to cut some up and see if that would work for me or not.

I keep card base cardstock (80lb, 110lb, shimmer white, black) cut down to 5.5x8.5" in my desk so it's closer and easier to grab but I don't necessarily score and fold it all. Having half size sheets nearby is useful for die cutting too, and it fits easily in the space I have. I don't have much space on my desk so I try to put my guillotine away unless I'm actively using it so it makes sense to batch the cutting. It's also something I can do when I'm not sure what I want to craft.
I don't make top fold cards very often because they usually turn out slightly off but if I'm making some I store those folded because of the size of my storage box. And I can't easily do the 'score first, cut second' time saver because of the size of my score board.
I don't keep many card front panel pieces on hand except the scrapbk dot com colored ones.
I keep all of that stuff in a re-used envelope box in my desk drawer. It stands up neatly, it's easy to flip through colors or types of cardstock, and is really close at hand. I divide them with backing cardboard from 6x6 paper pads with a sticky tab added to the top with a handwritten label. I make cards in bulk, mostly with white cs, so having these ready to go is a huge timesaver and keeps me working.

I usually cut them as I need them, but sometimes I cut extras and store them in a card organizer. They come in handy when I make up card kits.

Within the last few months I've switched over to having card bases cut and scored in white, antique white, and very light gray. I also have card fronts cut in white. I take care of making them a bunch at a time, and then don't have to do them again for quite a while. I'm liking it this way. I keep them unfolded, standing up in a bin on the corner of my desk.

I don't make top fold cards very often because they usually turn out slightly off OMG! I thought it was just me! Yeah, that's why I hate them; they seem so much less forgiving.

I got so tired of them being off that I ordered Pink and Main top fold card bases. I don’t do a lot of top fold but it’s nice to have some when I want to.

I can't believe that I'm just finding out that top-fold cards are tricky for everyone! It makes me so happy to learn that it's just that I'm careless or uncoordinated or something! I will JUST SAY NO to top-folding cards now!! Yes, I'm very excited about this!

I cut the card stock when I am ready to make a card, and only then. I vary what color and sizes of cards/card bases, so cutting ahead makes no sense to me. It saves very little time when I am card making, but it would be one more thing to store.

I make about 10 bases or so at a time to keep on hand, and only in 110 lb white from Papertrey- my default unless I’m going to be hot foiling. I’m a pretty slow card maker, so I don’t need very many bases at a time.
Azcrafty, what a great idea to score a full sheet of cardstock before cutting!

I don't usually cut and score my card bases ahead of time, but I will pre-cut card fronts so that when I do have time to get crafty, I can just jump right in to the fun part When it comes time to putting the whole card together to send, I'll usually pull a pre-made one from a card kit I've got sitting around. I'll have to figure out a new system when I run out of these pre-made bases.

I cut a ream myself for card bases, then score. I do not fold them, I store them flat until needed. It’s a mindless job I can do while watching tv.
I don’t cut card fronts because I rarely use white. I mostly use patterned paper. I’m not much of a scene builder.

I precut card bases in various shades of cardstock and store in a basket with envelopes.
