I just bought some new sheets, and as I was taking them out of the package so I could wash them my eye fell on the "care instructions". Apparently these sheets need "gentle cycle" and "cold water" and "tumble dry low". Finicky sheets are not allowed in my house. I just tossed them into the washer with another set of sheets that needed to be washed, hot water, regular cycle, and they're now in the dryer on high. It would never have occurred to me to wash bed sheets on gentle or in cold water. lol. These are just plain old ordinary cotton sheets, not some fancy linen with gold threads or something. haha Am I weird? How do you wash your ordinary sheets?

I wash sheets in HOT water. I know the last couple sets I have are supposed to be cold/gentle. But I think sheets need hot water. The ones have now are Tencel sheets and we love them, but they do say cold water. I still use hot. I have two sets that I rotate. What's weird is one color has outlasted the other. The fitted sheet in one color bit the dust and got some holes in it. I replaced with just a fitted sheet in the same type of fabric, but from a different seller. Even though they were same brand/same seller off Amazon - there really seemed to be a difference in how they felt and how they held up, between the colors. The dark grey are going strong. The light green crapped out fairly fast. Go figure.

Per allergy/immunology - hot water, regular cycle, extra water. Tumble dry medium.
Never had an issue with the fabric, shrinking, color fading, etc.

I use regular cycle which is warm water and throw in regular drying cycle. Like most of my other clothes. It never occurred to me to check care instructions on bedsheets.

I don’t ever really change my water temp. I think it is set on hot or warm. I dry everything on low.

My washer is pretty much set on cool regular wash and dryer is always on low. This whole notion of gentle cycle is not a thing here.
Towels get warm or hot wash and dried on high heat.

Like everything else, warm regular cycle, cold rinse. Dry on medium. Line dry if it's not smokey out.

On the linen setting on my washer (warm?) and then I dry them until they’re hot and crispy. Cannot stand damp-feeling bedding.

All of my bedding is white. I wash them on hot, normal. I put them in the dryer on low for a few minutes and then hang outside on line.

Like everything else, I wash bedding at 30° (which is probably equivalent to cool), spin speed of 1400rpm, and then hang them outside to dry. Nothing smells quite as wonderful as bedding that has been line dried!

I don't know why it's any more difficult to run a load on gentle and cold instead of hot, and run the dryer on low heat instead of high heat.
I wash my cotton sheets in warm water and tumble dry on low.
I wash my linen sheets in cold water and tumble dry on low.
It helps them last longer and retain the qualities I purchased them for.

I wash sheets on warm, unless they are brand new and the color may be an issue; then I’ll do them on cold. I dry them until they are totally dry. I don’t hang anything outside as I have allergies.

Hot water with detergent and bleach/colour safe bleach alternative. Tumble dry on medium heat. Iron, fold everything and place the set inside a pillow case and put away in linen closet.

I've never checked care instructions on sheets. The only reason I noticed these is that I was cutting off the darn tags. I have a vendetta against tags on anything because they're always poking me or scratching me or irritating me in some way.

I wash ours with warm wash, cold rinse, machine dry on medium until they’re totally dry. The only thing I wash with hot water are Norwex microfiber cloths.

Hot water. Laundry powder + Oxyclean. Double rinse with fabric softner. Line dry in the sunshine.
I have all white sheets. Dumped the colored ones decades ago.

Warm water, cold rinse and low heat for the dryer.
Side note: I bought some deep blue sheets, never dreamed the color would bleed. I now have some pale blue kitchen towels and DH has pale blue underwear and socks. I am disgusted with myself for that big mistake.

I've never read the washing instructions for sheets. I wash in a regular cycle and dry in the dryer just like towels. The only thing I don't do to this last set is use Oxyclean. I love that stuff but I think it is hard on some types of fabric finishes.

I don't treat my bedding any differently than I do other laundry...into the machine, same soap/softner, same settings.
