I've made a few but the recipients didn't understand and unfortunately they were ripped. In hindsight, I should've sent instructions with the card.
They so fun and surprisingly easy to assemble.

Yes, they are easy to assemble! Great way to use up your scraps!
I'm making one with Halloween papers. I'll have to post pics when I'm done.
I think these are good to give to the recipient, not to be mailed. I have no idea what it would cost to mail a 6" x 6" card. I'd have to make an envelope, too.

I made a Halloween one for my husband a few years ago. It was fun and he loved it. I did have to show him how it worked.

I made one once, but yes, unless the recipient knows how to open the folds, it can get ripped.
It’s a fascinating card, though.

Square, Oversized, or Unusual Envelopes - From $1.06 One of these butterfly stamps will do it: store.usps.com/store/product/buy-stamps/colorado-hairstreak-stamps-1-dollar06-S_121204If you put it in a larger rectangular envelope it can be cheaper. The square envelope costs more because it can't go through the sorting machine.

I made one back in the Carol Duvall days. It was fun and not as difficult as I had thought it would be. I hand-delivered mine, so I explained how it worked.

They're cute, but they don't stand up. I'm not sure why, but I have an irrational hatred of cards that don't stand up on display. It is the one criterion by which I judge all fancy folds.

There's also no place to put your signature, unless you leave one panel blank! LOL It was fun to make, though. I'll take photos after work and post them.
