Yes, clio, I totally agree that HA has some of the best kits; I can often combine the MMH kits with the HA kits from Joann. What I did for my CARDtober and fall Pea exchange cards was dump all the fall kits from two falls -- 2022 and 2023 -- into a big heap and mixed and matched liberally. I think I had a Gina K, a Joann HA, a MMH with some add-ons, and a SSS. I also agree that SSS kits can be very hit or miss. If I get inspired by one I tend to buy the stamp and die bundle, not the kit, which never has the dies and often has weird random stuff.

I've been checking out several companies that do monthly kits - Spellbinders, Hero Arts, etc. Then I saw that Altenew has monthly kits also! I was surprised. I did subscribe to the Echo Park card kit for about six months, but it was not really what I like to use. I also did SCT's Let Stamp Together for four months - it was fun but not always my cup of tea. This one I would prefer to do during the end of the year, when holiday cards are the focus. I'm tempted to sign up for Altenew's Dynamic Duo kit - stencil and stamp set ($19.99) each month, but I think I'd like dies for that also. They do have them occasionally as an add-on. Does anyone here get any of the Altenew monthly kits? They have six different subscriptions. You can pause them if you don't like what is offered that month.

Oddly, I love both Altenew and kits, but Altenew's subscriptions don't do a thing for me. It may have changed, but I thought some of them you got a peek and others you don't.

I just looked again and Altenew has changed the way these work. There still isn't one that knocks my socks off, but it does at least look like they all have the option to skip/cancel after seeing what you will get. That's a great improvement, IMO.
