A new month and a new list? or maybe an old list moving forward for a new try (or is that just me?)

My plans are
Continue working on memory planner. I have 7/9 weeks of photos culled so I am almost to the fun part of scrapping.
Do some October daily pages from 2022
Make notes for October 2023 pages. I’m not going to pretend I will keep up with this October daily but I would like to have notes on what I want for each day.

I'm taking a photo a day in October, I probably won't make the album with them until November though...
Last month I went through the half-finished layout pile and really made a dent. I am trying to not add to that pile again so my goal is to start a layout and finish it before making another one. No batch cutting 20 titles at once, or journaling on 25 layouts at a time. It' s hard (especially not putting off the journaling until later) but I like not having that unfinished pile glaring at me...
I don't have a specific number of layouts to finish, but I'm working on a vacation we went on last June, so finishing up those, and maybe wrapping up the beach trip we took in August of 2022...
I need to rearrange my scrap area to make it more functional...

I’m going to a retreat in November, so I need to prep for that by printing photos and journaling and making kits, and maybe doing some stitching ahead of time. I also am thinking of starting my JYC/DD 2022 to try to finish that by December. Plus maybe work on PL.
•prep for retreat •print photos for JYC 2022 •JYC 2022 •PL pages •add journaling to completed pages
October is a busy month, so we’ll see what I actually accomplish!

I am trying to work out a way to go to a crop on Friday. I am supposed to watch the grandgirls all weekend.
If I do get to go I am going to work on Princess photos for Princess albums for each girl. We see Ariel Sat so I'd love to finish the princesses they already saw.

I'm hoping to do a bit of reorganization in my space. I went through all my ink pads and was ruthless in culling my stash. I realized that I don't care for SU! Foam pads and some of my inks hadn't even been used for 3 years. They take up too much space. So I did a think and ordered the whole set of Gina K mini ink cubes. I love her ink and I think the cubes will suit me better.
While going through my space and figuring out the ink thing I got a bit overwhelmed with the amount of stuff I have (and have purchased this summer) and thinking about the amount that I actually scrapbooked made me feel a bit guilty 😔. I need to freeze for a while or join a creating challenge for a boost. So that's the other goal for October!

Still have a list of pages from summer I want to scrap. Had hoped to get some of them done on Wednesday at mom's crop, but now dh may have other plans. At the end of the month I will be away visiting kids and grandkids. The first weekend in November is our LSS crop, so I suppose I will need to give some thought to packing for that before I leave for my Calgary visit. May put together kits with the photos and the sketches I want to use. October is the time I usually start making Christmas cards. I have been good about keeping that cupboard closed since I finished scrapping last year's Christmas. Soon I can let myself open the door... I am excited to play with goodies I purchased on sale in January and a couple of die sets I recently ordered. Hoping to get together with y niece and justjac for a card making date here to play with card kits we picked up a couple of months ago.

Working on October Daily!
I'm putting all December Daily away until November.
I have one layout done, one halfway done, and an idea for today's story.

I do more taking photos than scrapping photos in October but now that the wedding & mini-moon are over, I have a lot more free time. I'd like to scrap some mini-moon photos just for fun while I wait on professional wedding pics. We're going to FL over Fall Break so I'll have photos from that as well.
I lost several pages in my 2022 Countdown to Christmas album in a hard drive crash last year so I'd like to complete those before this year's C2C album but I might wait until November for that.

October goals:
Photo a day Start planning two themed albums
The first goal is easy but the second will involve a lot of thought and preparation. I’m curious to see how much I can accomplish this month.

Like linda October is a crazy busy month for me, I have 3 birthdays as well! We are also just recovering from a wedding. I am hopeful that I can: Play with the Cardtober challenges, I really like doing that. Probably will not do them all but it's still super fun. Make page kits for the retreat (first really retreat in years for me) that I am going to in November. When we get the wedding pics back from the photographer go through them all and see which ones I want to blow up and frame, which are for page scrapbooking and which go in a photo sleeve page protector. I am getting a little nervous, week three after the wedding and all we have so far is sneak peeks. Hopefully not too much longer! Contine to clean and organize my space. I have one space for work and that is also my craft space and it gets a little chaotic in here. I am still working on placement, there is one corner in particular that seems to collect all the things. Basically be totally ready and prepped for the retreat in November. It is 3 days, so I want to bring plenty of stuff but be really organized and deliberate about it.

October (really right on thru Christmas) is really busy for me as well but I do hope to finish an album that I've been working on forever. Every time I think I'm done, I find a few more pictures that I want to add. I'm constantly amazed at how much you all get done! And thanks again linda for reminding us that we all have stuff to get done.

Can I ask how long you expect your photos to take? We are on week 3 after the wedding and all we have is sneak peeks, so I am getting antsy. But this is the first time I have hired a professional wedding photographer so maybe I am just too anxious?

My contract specifically states that I will receive sneak peeks 2 business days later (and I received 13 photos the day after the wedding) and the rest of the photos 6 weeks later. Since I know my photographer personally, I imagine that I will receive them earlier than 6 weeks but probably not earlier than 4 weeks. Her assistant also took photos, and I'm not sure if her assistant will be processing those or if she will be doing those, too, so that might add to the timeline as well. Congrats!

October is shaping up to be a very busy month, so I will keep the list short:
1. Make party decor for the little one's birthday.
2. Make a page kit or two using my new Halloween swap pieces.
3. Start working on the Christmas swap pieces.

Still not 100% DONE with it yet, but so very close.....October, I have completed a 55 page VERY SIMPLE scrapbook for our almost 7 yo grandson of his week spent with us this summer. When I say simple, as in just 4x6 pics and very plain handwriting, and a few stickers. He will love it....rest of October......let's see.....continue to work on page kits for a 5 day crop in January 2024, am up to 12, shooting for 100. Also continue to purge and declutter.

I would like to: finish labelling the 1979 photos make 2 papercraft shadowboxes (as gifts)make 2 birthday cards make and send Halloween cards and keep sewing... Can you tell me more about these?
If I do get to go I am going to work on Princess photos for Princess albums for each girl. We see Ariel Sat so I'd love to finish the princesses they already saw. My daughter has long outgrown the pink, purple, and all things sparkly phase. She's definitely in the Star Wars obsessed phase and I don't think it's going away. I think it was about three years ago, we went to a Broadway Princess singing party (can't remember the exact name). It had the women who played princesses on Broadway or were in the Disney movies. I bought way too much princess stuff, but I am so excited to do something girly and over the top! I also love the name grandgirls.
Are Gina K mini ink cubes like the Tim Holtz distress ink?
I am excited to play with goodies I purchased on sale in January and a couple of die sets I recently ordered. Hoping to get together with y niece and justjac for a card making date here to play with card kits we picked up a couple of months ago. I LOVE going through my stash and rediscovering new things!
I am FINALLY in my new crafting haven....The Harmony Hut! I love that name! If I ever get one, I'm going to name it That's What She Shed.
Other - Use mental health kitWhere did you purchase this from? I know syncopationdesign has one. I've purchased her Let's get Lit collection.

refugeepea - Basically a layered SVG file (cut file) that is cut and glued and then put in a shadowbox. I made this eagle for DH for father's day and am supposed to be making a second for my BIL for Christmas as well as a sea turtle for my sister

October goals: Photo a day Start planning two themed albums I fell off of photo a day around week 3 but I’ll still be able to do a nice month in review layout for the month. I’ve done well with the vacation album. I think I have 2-3 two page layouts and a one page layout to finish it up. It’s been fun to change things up with an 8.5x11 album. How has everyone else done with their October goals?
