aKathy's What's for Dinner? 11/19

Grandboy #2 is home sick from school today so Nana to the rescue! He’s got a terrible cough and was fevered so I’m thinking he probably has an ear infection, which is pretty routine for him. Currently he’s on the couch watching tv. I’ve done the dishes, folded and put away three baskets of laundry and there’s a load in the washer and dryer.

Only saw DH for a brief moment this morning before I left the house so we didn’t have time to discuss supper.

We're up and need to decide what day we'll play golf and what day we'll go see the latest Hunger Games movie.

Dinner will be decided later. ETA: Just got a 40% off coupon from our favorite pizza place so we'll see the movie then pick up a pizza!

We watched Amazing Race last night and DH and I were so excited to see lots of places that we were at in Slovenia! It makes the Race so much more fun!

I was up and out early for physical therapy this morning. Afterwards I stopped at the post office, car wash and Dunks. I hadn’t had coffee before leaving the house. Dgd is home sick today and her mom is taking her to the doctor later. I’m guessing she has an ear infection also. 

Dinner is grilled sirloin strip steaks with green beans and probably a sweet potato for me. There’s salad fixings as well. 

I finished my wedding album over the weekend and posted some layouts over on the scrapping board if anyone is interested in taking a look 😊

I did accomplish some of my list I had for the weekend!
Dinner is undecided. I don't want to cook too much since Thanksgiving is coming. I don't want a lot of rechauffe in the fridge!

Becki already knows this but we have had no power since 7:30 and my dad has a very important eye exam today and we cannot get the car out of the garage. We are hoping the power will come back on soon. We have amazing weather again for this time in November. I will try to take my dad for a short walk around the block if the power comes back on.

Good Morning...

I've been MIA for the past week.

The last I was here I was telling you about the consignment sale I was doing. I did really well sales wise! Sunday night (a week ago) the sale had finished and we were working on sorting stuff back to consigners. It was about 10 pm I was walking to my car and my feet slipped out from under me and I fell backwards and hit my head so hard on the ice. OOoofff, the pain was intense. I felt like my brain was jello being shaken inside a tupperware bowl. I saw major flashes of light but, I didn't lose consciousness. I have spent the last week laying around and sleeping. I am doing much better but still don't feel quite like myself. 


We have also had 2 major snowstorms and lost our power several times for hours and hours at a time. It's been a doozy.

I hope you all have been well. I haven't been online or watched any tv until last night. I am doing screen time a little at a time.

What are your plans this Thanksgiving week? I am leaving Friday night for a trip to California to visit my sister. I have 4 days to get better!

I just got back from running a bunch of errands ... the main one I wanted to do: wash my Jeep - is the one that didn't get done because the lineup was massive! I wasn't about to sit there for an hour.   

I got cash out of the bank to put in Christmas cards for my cleaning lady and the condo cleaning lady ... both work so hard!!!

Got more groceries than I had planned ... big surprise!    

Mailed a small package to Ontario ... $34!!!   

Grabbed iced tea ... without the ice ... from Starbucks.   

Now I need to take out my garbage and recycling ... fun times!


My mum is probably coming over later for dinner if she feels up to it ... we'll have something from Hello Fresh ... her choice ... or we will have ham and scalloped potatoes ... maybe with peas

Today I had a dentist appointment to put a permanent crown on. Then I got my nails done. I asked DH to pick up Mexican food from our favorite place. So that’s what was for dinner.

I hope all of you have a peaceful rest of the day. 

The craziness has started at work. I went in early since I will only be there for a few hours tomorrow before we head to my parents.

leannec I got my Jeep washed yesterday. It will be the last time for quite a while.

I didn’t go grocery shopping over the weekend since we won’t be here so we are both fending for ourselves.

I hope you're okay, and shocked you didn't go to the Emergency Room. Since you're  still
not feeling like yourself, *please* go to the ER!  Do you have a lot of pain?

Hi next door was able to open the garage and saved us a couple of huge Uber rides.

The kids are making shrimp tacos and I am very excited to eat that tonight. The kids love to cook and the eject me (willingly) out of the kitchen and I am pleasantly Peaing.

The power is on near me but out everywhere else in the area. Someone took out a power pole. You need to be going quickly to do that.

Things are good and I got some of the stuff for my colonoscopy. I still need no som e broth. I love that so cannot wait to drink that. (I really like it!)
