I can drink it spiked at a party but it’s certainly not my preference. I think it’s related to the fact that I don’t like milkshakes. I’m not even a big ice cream fan.

I put never, because I don't like it, but DH loves it so I always get some for him at the holidays. I've never tried making my own. Maybe I'll do that this year. He would probably like it better than store bought and maybe I might like it that way.
ETA: He doesn't like his spiked.

I've never tried it, I think of it, rightly or wrongly, as an American drink. It always seem to feature in American Christmas films.

I really like eggnog at Christmas time, without rum. My Dad used to make it when we were kids, and it will always be the best to me, although there are some good store bought ones out there. Thanks, quiltz for the link to Canadian Dairy Farmers. It led me to another link with which I ordered my Milk Calendar for 2024. I have missed them since they no longer include them in newspapers. That's because there are so few newspapers, I guess. We haven't had one where I live for several years now.

Thanks, I ordered one as well. The recipes are really good and truly Canadian. Easy ingredients and delicious.

My teenager especially loves it. He gets all excited in November- he calls it Christmas Milk season. I have a 1/2 gallon in the fridge right now. My 15 yo grandson loves it, too. I just bought him a quart.

Love. LOVE LOVE. Like, I start stalking the dairy department at the grocery store in September awaiting its arrival. I really only drink it as eggnog lattes but my toddler has discovered it and loves his Christmas Milk.

I like/almost love it, but, I don’t drink it with alcohol and I always cut it with plain milk. Can’t drink it straight. I also like soynog!

I love egg nog. Not sure I've had anything other than store bought egg nog. I have learned that the love/hate of egg nog is right up there with the love/hate of black licorice (which I also like). I like egg nog enough to drink some but not to the “OMG! It’s egg nog season!!!” level. I’m not a fan at all of black licorice with the exception of the little square sandwich ones in the bag of allsorts. Especially the ones with the brown layer. It’s another thing that DH looooves so we end up buying a half gallon or two during the holiday season. Not sure if DD likes it or not. We don’t put any alcohol in it.

I love it. A lot of the grocery store ones are pretty thick, though, so when I pour myself a glass I often cut it with some 2 percent milk.
I love anything eggnog flavored. I'm a huge custard fan, and that tastes a lot like eggnog.

I'm not sure I have ever had egg nog. Maybe I should buy some although grocery store would be all I could find around here I'm sure. Would definitely need a little something something in it I think. Never, ever, ever to fruitcake and mincemeat. Do you have a HEB near you ? Their brand of egg nog is the best I’ve ever had. That's all I have near me. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) Well, Walmart but I don't go there very often. I'll have to get some from HEB and try it.

I picked never, but that’s not true. I used to like it when I was little, but not anymore. My parents bought cheap stuff which was ok. My husband likes the super thick stuff and I just can’t. I don’t like it enough to get my own.

I can't wait for this time of the year to get eggnog. I like it with alcohol or just putting some pecans in it before I drink it.

We have a regional ice cream chain, Braums. They operate their own dairy and their milk is always fresh and tastes so good. Their eggnog is delicious. It always sells out fast. When we lived in Houston, our neighbors, who were also from Oklahoma, would bring us some eggnog any time they made a trip to Oklahoma during the holiday season.

Braum's is the only egg nog I will drink. A number of years ago I introduced a friend to Braum's egg nog. He was delighted. He had been drinking Kroger's brand---and immediately kicked that to the curb and went with Braum's.

I only like it if it has enough brandy in it to not care. Although it makes a great French Toast.

Have you tried the Ice Cream from HEB brand? Mmmm But it must be Egg Nog not whatever Holiday Nog is. They substituted that for us in 2020 2021 sometimes and it took us a while to realize that, we were wondering why sometimes we liked the Egg Nog and sometimes we didn’t…which had never happened before.

Thank you, dewryce. I’m going shopping in the morning and will get some of HEB egg nog ice cream. I’ll also check out all the egg nogs that they are carrying. I’ve already gotten a few bottles this year.

I like it, but I don’t put alcohol in it.
I don’t buy a ton of it (and only certain brands) because it has about a zillion calories and I try not to drink too many of my calories.

I was in Braums neck of the woods last year at thanksgiving… on my way back home it took three different stores to find the egg nog. It was worth the extra 20 miles. And it was their last two quarts.
