I know that this season can be a different time for a lot of people for many different reasons. I don’t want to leave out the peas that could use some prayers.
If you have something you’d like for us to pray for, or send hugs and positive thoughts, please post here. We’d love to have your back!

We are waiting on the results from DH's biopsy to see if he has lymphoma. I am crossing my fingers that he doesn't.

My parents. My Dad has a fractured ankle that isn't healing and my Mom is sick, thinking it's COVID. This time last year is when all 3 of us came down with it and she was exposed Saturday. One other person who was exposed has already tested positive.

One other person who was exposed has already tested positive. I hate that for your dad. Praying he heals quickly. Covid is a beast that just won’t go away. I had it (for the third time) last Christmas, too. I pray that it passes for her quickly, and that everyone else stays well.

FIL was admitted to hospital earlier this week with early heart failure. He's feeling rubbish and MIL is very worried. I know people go on for years with the appropriate treatment, but he's in his 80s...

I could use some prayers for myself as I was just diagnosed with breast cancer. Seeing the surgeon next week and hope to have a plan then. Possibly looking at surgery and radiation treatment. No family history of breast cancer. I think it was caught early but I’m still scared.
Trying to keep positive and busy in the meantime.

You are being lifted up in prayer for the coming days of decisions you’ll need to make, as well as for your surgeon, treatment and recovery.

Thank you so much, to you and to everyone here and everywhere who has prayed for him. We visited him in hospital today and he was brighter and more with-it than we've seen him for a good couple of years. He heard and understood everything we said, and was joking again, and making bad puns as he used to. His pain level is down from a 14/10 to a 5/10 (his numbers), and we are all so very thankful. Thank you, thank you.

I had my breast cancer diagnosis in 2021, and am still being treated for it. Mastectomy, chemo, targeted biological injections, aromatase inhibitors, bone infusions. The surgery removed all the cancer and I'm doing well - all the subsequent stuff is to stop it coming back. My Mum had her diagnosis later that year, and she had a lumpectomy and radiotherapy. She's 89 and doing fine. I'm very happy to chat and share experiences. Please drop me a PM if you want to. HUGS XX

My Mom died 1/29/23. Dad has Parkinson's Disease. The dementia part has really kicked in. Christmas will be hard but I am determined to make it as happy as it can be.

Prayers for everyone in this thread. I am having abdominal surgery tomorrow. I had brain surgery on Halloween to put in a vp shunt. It relieved my earache beautifully but is causing severe abdominal pain. Repositioning the abdominal end will hopefully help it. Also, I’m asking fo prayers for my sister and oldest nephew. I don’t want to go into too many details, but he won’t be with his family this Christmas. He’s 14. It’s also my youngest nephew’s first Christmas so my sister is struggling with not having all her kids together for this special holiday. I won’t be traveling to see her either because of the surgery. It’s difficult for everyone in the family. Please pray that he becomes open to receiving the help he needs. I will keep you all in my special intentions in my daily prayers.. Much love to everyone this holiday season.

There have been so many advances in breast cancer. I am glad they caught it early! I have many friends who had breast cancer. They had surgeries, treatment and are doing just fine. Your positive attitude and busyness is a great help to you. But, you can always use additional prayers, faith, hope and healing energy.

Could use prayers for my parents. Both have major health issues. My dad also has dementia which is progressing quickly. I don't know how they will be able to afford memory care. They have no savings due to life circumstances over the years that were beyond their control. Could use prayers for that to work out and also for my dad to calm down - he's becoming VERY verbally abusive to my mom. She's having a hard time with that. I keep explaining its the disease, but she is taking it very personally. Their home is very volatile and she's always on edge. I help where I can, but I also work and am still raising my family.

My Dad is doing his usual-- watching horse races at local track via Fox Sports and handicapping. He's also researching a lot on eBay. He says his ankle is better, minus when he first gets up.

I can use some good thoughts our direction...
DH had a seizure Tuesday last week (on his 50th birthday) and called 911 on himself. Come to find out after an ambulance ride, admittance to an ER, hospital transfer to one 75 min away and many tests and an MRI, his melanoma has taken up residence in his brain. He is a candidate for radiation and has an appt tomorrow with radiation to figure out a plan. He had a horrible reaction to Keytruda and ended up in a 10 week course of prednisone to stop the immune response before he could have surgery. His last MRI was 8/1/23 and the MRI on 12/13/23 showed THREE new masses in his brain. The largest is 16mm. His melanoma originated on his back 12/2013 and they removed with clear margins. This past summer he had swelling under his left arm and it was found there. 10/13/23 he had 10 lymph nodes removed and 6 contained cancer. He has had his license pulled and he HATES that. He's having a very hard time letting people do for him. I told him he just needs to suck it up and accept the help. We have 2 kids (12 and 8) who are active in sports. I get TEN days a year of sick leave (teachers are so screwed with being able to be out if needed) and we will have to rely on people to take him to radiation 75 min from our house. We are such independent, take care of ourselves, people that it is difficult to ask. BUT I have reached out to a few people and asked if they can help me out. They've been very helpful in getting my kids rides places sorted out.
I was going to ask for positive thoughts on his PET that he had yesterday as they were looking to see if it's moved any where else in his body but we got those results today and they appear to be clear for the rest of his body. So, something to be happy about there at least.

I love this thread. Not that people have issues, rather that we care enough to offer up specific prayers for our friends. I pray for strength, healing and confort for everyone here with our own individual trials and needs.

He wasn't stable enough at the ward round on Friday, and there are only emergency doctors there at weekends. I suppose he'll have to wait till tomorrow. But he's feeling a lot better now - the power of prayer . His pain is being controlled, the water weight has gone and he is breathing easier. He was just water-logged. I think They're still deciding which meds to put him on. He won't be discharged just yet as MIL has to have surgery on Tuesday, so we're just keeping everything crossed that he will be home for Christmas.
