A lot better than when I entered the hospital on Dec 13. Today we celebrated our Christmas presents opening with just the immediate family. It’s the first time I’ve gotten to see the grandkids since before I went in….best medicine ever! I should be in remission in a few months but in order to remain in remission I’ll have to do chemotherapy for the rest of my life. Luckily I’m having no side effects from the chemo other than fatigue and lack of appetite. I take a chemo pill every day and have five infusions a month plus several other drugs. I’m too old at 73 for a transplant. I’ll have lots of questions for the doctor in a few weeks now that I’ve had time to think about all of this. Thanks for asking and please keep praying! |

Are you doing CarT cell therapy? No, too new at this to even know what that is. that's a good option too for future therapeutics if your current regime fails. I wish you rest and calmness through your treatment. |

Sending you best wishes and hugs ❤️. My mom was diagnosed with AML almost five years ago. She chose to treat it aggressively and it was rough, but she’s been in remission for over three years and is doing well.

You are definitely in my prayers. It’s so hard getting a diagnosis, although helpful, but it’s so frustrating when you know there is a solution that can’t help right away.
I saw your comment in the other thread, and it broke my heart. I do hope that once the meds are received, you will start to heal, and feel like a new woman.
