I like the name Fred, but I like human names for animals. I had a big white cat named Roscoe Lieoni. He was Italian

He looks like a Fred to me.
I have a tabby named Charlie and a Manx tabby named Tiger (she came with the name) and our little tabby that ran away last month was Ramsey (also came with the name- bonded pair with Tiger).
Charlie had a brother named Mac who disappeared 11 years ago. He was a gray tuxedo and the coolest cat! He'd fetch hair ties all day.

Oh he is beautiful! He looks so much like our recent addition - we named him Billy. We didn't know if he was a girl or boy when we found him so we picked a unisex name till we took him to the vets. I do like Fred though. Our other cat is called Celia. She was a newborn kitten left in the roof of our school library- we heard her crying and rescued her ! Celia- because she came from the ceiling- if she was a boy she would have been named Rufus!

My cats name is Ripley. We recently had a farm cat I called Ruckus. We have dogs Riley and Remi
In the past I've had pets named Ringo, Taffy, Milo, Luna, Sarge, Sidney, Rosie, Poppy, Asher, Trixie, Tucker, Misty, Taz. And many more
Again living in the country on a farm animals happen either they show up or get dumped
He looks like a bit like a Charlie though

I'm the outlier who doesn't care for human names for pets, but since you asked...for your adorable new kitty, I like Stanley, Linus, Jasper, and Hobbes.
Congratulations on your new cat! He's adorable - tabbies are my favorite. (My gray tabby is Shamrock.)

Freddie, as in Mercury. 😊 I had that thought, too. He looks like a Fred. He's gorgeous. I love that he is a snuggly boy.
