***. The Supreme Court Justices know that Clarence Thomas's wife was involved in the planning and execution of the J6 insurrection and won't pressure him to recuse. The only conclusion I can reach is that they are corrupt.
***. It's really just common sense. Jack Smith should just indict Clarence Thomas's wife for her role in the Jan 6th planning. Send a message to the court that no one is immune from criminal charges including one of their own who needs to recuse himself (looking at you Mr. Thomas) from any Jan 6th cases. This corruption has to go end and Americans deserve to see Trump on trial not because it's good TV, but to remind ourselves he's a danger to our democracy and needs to be held accountable.

Isn't Tuberville a splendid christian nationalist...
Back in October, Tuberville said European countries have been “lost” to “immigration” as he praised Christian nationalist authoritarian Viktor Orbán of Hungary. Tuberville has a history of promoting white nationalism and has said he sees a white nationalist as a “Trump Republican.” The Senator also declared immigrants “don’t assimilate,” and are “globalists” who “don’t go by the laws.”

Credit to Hunter for standing up for himself in the face of some terrible, inappropriate, irrelevant and insensitive questions by Republicans. In yesterday's hearing and in an earlier one where and MTG showed naked pictures, the Republicans showed their true character. Even though Hunter is an addict and made questionable decisions, he has more honor, integrity and decency than the Republicans who put on a performance.

And I don't think Hunter gets enough credit for his education and experience. He didn't get or keep all of those jobs and positions because of his dad.

Just posting this again... Tired of Biden being blamed for the whole mess! Fox News host asking a House Republican if he has any evidence President Joe Biden benefitted from his son Hunter’s business contracts got the brush off and was forced to remind the congressman “everybody” has seen a video he claimed no one is talking about. That video is of then-Vice President Joe Biden talking about how he followed official U.S. foreign policy that was also supported by European nations, the World Bank, and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), requiring the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, Viktor Shokin, to be relieved of his duties over his record of not prosecuting corruption. Republicans have turned the video’s implication on its head, wrongly insisting it is evidence of corruption and bribery of the now -President, and using it in their efforts to change public opinion and attack Biden. “Shokin’s inaction prompted international calls for his ouster and ultimately resulted in his removal by Ukraine’s parliament,” USA Today reported in 2019. “Without pressure from Joe Biden, European diplomats, the International Monetary Fund and other international organizations, Shokin would not have been fired, said Daria Kaleniuk, co-founder and executive director of the Anti Corruption Action Centre in Kiev.”“At one point, Biden withheld $1 billion in aid to Ukraine to pressure the government to remove Shokin from the Prosecutor General’s Office,” the paper adds. “Burisma Holdings was not under scrutiny at the time Joe Biden called for Shokin’s ouster, according to the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, an independent agency set up in 2014 that has worked closely with the FBI.” *** “Dozens of countries were pushing to get the deeply corrupt Shokin fired and the Republicans are now using him as a witness. That’s before we talk about all of that happened before he was President. These clowns have nothing.”www.thenewcivilrightsmovement.com/2023/09/everybody-has-seen-that-fox-news-host-smacks-down-republican-pushing-biden-burismo-video-people-not-talking-about/

hop2I have mixed feelings on that. In a way I resent Murphy for pushing her in there, but gives her better recognition. But Andy Kim has worked hard to get where he is. So I guess I'm waiting it out for a while, but will strongly for whoever is the nominee. We must hold the seat!!

It's going to get worse before it gets better. I was worried all of these deplorable Republicans were running for minority leader. They're pretty much my list of most detested Republican Senators. Just missing Rubio, Blackburn, Graham and Tim Scott. But, I think they're backing Rick Scott.

DeSantis attacking education again. University of Florida.. All employees in positions related to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) at the University of Florida have been fired, a memo that was circulated this Friday said. The firings come after the passage last year of a state law that targeted funding for DEI programs. According to officials, 13 positions were eliminated and 15 faculty administrative appointments were ended, WCJB reported. Around $5 million that was allocated for DEI programs will be moved into a faculty recruitment fund, the memo said. Those who were fired were given 12 weeks of severance and encouraged to find jobs elsewhere at the university. “The University of Florida is — and will always be — unwavering in our commitment to universal human dignity. As we educate students by thoughtfully engaging a wide range of ideas and views, we will continue to foster a community of trust and respect for every member of the Gator Nation. The University of Florida is an elite institution because of our incredible faculty who are committed to teaching, discovering, and serving,” the memo stated. According to a report from The New York Times last month, the eradication of DEI programs around the country "has become both a cause and a message suffusing the American right." "In 2023, more than 20 states considered or approved new laws taking aim at DEI, even as polling has shown that diversity initiatives remain popular," the Times' report stated. www.rawstory.com/desantis-diversity/

Florida is just as bad as Texas in terms of extreme Republicans. The governor is crazy and the super majority just enables him. Yes, let's lower the age to 18 because even though they're technically adults, we don't trust 18 year olds with alcohol and their brains are not fully developed. As the parent of an 18 year old, I can attest to that. In what world are these Republicans living in that they think this is a good idea?

Good news from CVS and Walgreens. Will fill Rx for mifepristone soon! America's two biggest pharmacy chains said Friday they will begin dispensing prescription abortion pills in a limited number of states where it's legal. The move greatly broadens availability of mifepristone, even as a legal case over whether the drug was properly approved two decades ago now rests before the Supreme Court. A CVS spokesperson told AFP: "We'll begin filling prescriptions for the medication in Massachusetts and Rhode Island in the weeks ahead and will expand to additional states, where allowed by law, on a rolling basis." Walgreens "expects to begin dispensing within a week" in New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, California, and Illinois, the company said on its website. *** Abortion pills remain illegal in states where the procedure is prohibited. But women who decide to travel to a state where abortion is legal may now find a pharmacy much closer than an abortion clinic.*** Abortions administered as pills sent in the mail are just as safe and effective as those provided in person, a study published in Nature Medicine found in February. www.rawstory.com/america-s-biggest-pharmacy-chains-announce-abortion-pill-rollout/

Not surprised… Kyle Griffin.. ”The man the Trump campaign hired to find fraudulent votes after 2020 confirms what we all know: Fraud did not cause Trump's election loss. Ken Block says he found fewer than 200 duplicate mail-in ballot votes fraudulently cast from all the swing states combined and that Trump campaign chose not to do anything with these fraudulent votes "to avoid calling attention to the small amount of provable fraud." "Voter fraud did not cause Trump's 2020 Arizona election loss. I know because I have done the work." azcentral.com/story/opinion/… x.com/kylegriffin1/status/1764041759288426591?s=61&t=j45uMgNk1i8O0YllKF58nw

Trump over the weekend spoke at an event in North Carolina, and had a few issues.. "Venezwheregullah," wrote @jojofromjerz. Anyone? Short clip *** "Trump is now predictably unable to go more than a sentence or two without garbling and slurring his words— and, when combined with his extraordinary word salads, are speech difficulties consistent with a diagnosis of dementia," Dr. David A. Lustig said Saturday. Lustig previously warned people not to get their medical advice from Rush Limbaugh. "He sounds like an infant trying to speak with a pacifier," someone said in the comments on the psychologist's post. He replied, "I would feel sorry for him, if he weren’t a despicable monster." Another user, Emma Marvin, asked him a question: "So what will happen to him as he gets worse and worse?" He then made a prediction about Trump's potential deterioration. "I would expect that before long, he won’t be able to function autonomously," he said.
Marvin then quipped, "So then they will just prop him up and use a ventriloquist."www.rawstory.com/trump-psychologist-dementia-rally/More in a tweet .

Trump is getting worse. He makes multiple mistakes and errors, mixes up people, slurs words, makes up words etc in almost every speech. I think the stress of the trials is getting to him. No amount of pretending that he "interposed" names on purpose or to be sarcastic explains all of his mistakes, errors, nonsense words etc today. He had a teleprompter and couldn't follow that.
