Nice job making it through January!
Successes- I walked/ran 50 purposeful miles on January I did yoga most days I started watching more what I ate I joined Noom
Misses- between the ups and downs, I'm not sure I lost any weight (I'll weigh in tomorrow for 2/1) My clothes seem to be tighter instead of looser I love candy
Goals- I'm ordering some dumbells to add a bit of weight activity at home. I'd love to hit 50 miles again Yoga at least 18 times Continue to track my food.

I won't weigh in until Sunday at the earliest, when I get home from Mayo.
Goals are to keep losing and work on building muscle tone/strength training.

I will weigh in tomorrow.... This week has been hard...ate the dreaded GS thin mints....putting them in the freezer does not deter one...they actually test better frozen🤣🤣🤣 Hoping I at least stayed the same. I failed at Dry January....fell off the wagon last week...darn work event. Still, I call it a win!! Although I thought not drinking wine would impact my weight loss...Not so....

I'm getting back on the plan this month with WW and Semaglutide shots. I'm waiting for the shots to go through and then I'll start when I get them.
I really need to stick to it because I feel very unhealthy and I need to do something.

I'll use freecharlie template... Successes: Completed training for, and successfully ran, the half marathon. Finished under my 2:45 goal in 2:40:32 Tracked food intake every day in 2023 Ate more for training, at the direction of my PT, despite how fluffy it made me feel **I admit that fueling well was the correct strategy** Only had TWO alcoholic drinks all January. One margarita when I met a friend for HH and a shot of Fireball on the race course Misses: The scale, and my BF %, went up as expected so the other side to the success coin Clothes are tighter and I do not feel lean like I prefer Fueling was askew (met my cals and macros) because it included more processed foods than I prefer Goals: Full commitment to this new training phase All scheduled runs outdoors regardless of weather No more than 3 alcoholic drinks all month Reduce the processed food intake

I am wearing jeans today that I didn't think would fit, so that is happy news. They are much looser than the last time I had them on.

keithurbanlovinpea is your weather nice enough? My friend and I stayed outside until the bitter cold in January and then it was just miserable to stay outside (we go at 5am) and at times it would have been dangerous.

Well I live in Texas so it's hard to not have decent weather most of the year. I ran the half marathon in 38 degrees so I figured whatever February throws at me will be ok. Also, all my runs this month are on the weekends so it's easy for me to wait until daylight.

I broke 190 finally (189.9 but still...) I know tomorrow I may be up over 190 again, but today? Victory is mine!
Goals this week...walk/run a minimum of 3 days. At least 8000 steps in the other days, but aim for 10000. At least 3 days of our love handle challenge at work Log food at least 5 days
Superbowl Sunday will be a day off for me. I will eat more veggies, but I'm eating all the yummy food.

I'm unsure what my weight will do - I've been way more active, but I've also eaten a lot more. I may need to talk to my doctor when I get home - I've been getting lightheaded/dizzy some, especially if I lean too far forward or get up quickly.

Hits: Just had my well check and my labs came back great. I was dx'd diabetic about 18 months ago and my A1c is now smack in the middle of the normal range. Cholesterol was down, too, which I was worried about because I've been eating a lot of eggs and dairy. Goals: Still need to work in more cardio. More plants, less dairy. keithurbanlovinpea I really want your back and arms. My arms are getting close, but I'd really like a more sculpted back. You look great!

Yesterday I did a Zumba class then right into a spin class. Then 20 min of abs. That’s my new Saturday routine. Today I did my barre class.
I’m feeling good doing more classes, I haven’t weighed myself lately but I think I’m in the ~3lb range I like to stay in. I have a big vacation in March and I always like to ramp the exercise up before.

My February started off better than January did. I skipped my workout on Thurs last week but then did it on Friday as well as my usual walk. I felt good that I didn't just skip a scheduled workout. Consistency is key!
Starting today I'm not having any added sugar until my birthday on 2/14. I don't have much of it, but I do use honey everyday and some nights I have a lower sugar small chocolate bar. I'm going to cut that out for 9 days. I know I'll have some kind of chocolate cake on my birthday, then I'll continue with the no added sugar for the rest of the month.
Since I've cut way, way back on it, I don't crave sugar anymore, but I do still crave chocolate. My love affair with that will never die! I'm cutting out added sugar for the month in the hopes of decreasing some belly fat. Fingers crossed it will help.

January was really good. I lost 17 pounds and have had some real success being purposeful about my food. I joined Food Freedom Society and it has been a game changer for me. It is helping me focus on the underlying issues that are leading me to over eat and while there are definitely some hard things about it, it is making a difference. I had a blood draw last week and go in for my diabetic check this Friday. I don't know how much 1 month will make a difference to my A1C but I am hoping that I will see a positive change there, even if it is a little one.
My goal for February is to get through the rest of the modules for the Food Freedom Society and be ready to take advantage of the 1:1 coaching I have the week of the 22nd-29th.

I know slow and steady is the way to go, but could it be just a little bit quicker?
I know I need to add some weights in as I've just been walking/running, but finding the time is rough.
Those same 3 lbs get lost and then come back...I need them gone for good!

So I have been unhappy about my weight for quite a while. I’m the biggest I’ve ever been and truly could see no end in sight. There was a thread not to long ago about the very popular shots that a lot of people are taking and one poster made the comment about “silencing the food noise in her head”. In that moment I final felt like I wasn’t alone and that someone else understood what I meant. With that in mind I scheduled an appointment with my doctor.
I was declined any kind of GLP-1 shots. My doctor tried and it wouldn’t go thru. I even tried for Zepbound. No go
She put me on a pill that people took before all of these shots became the rage. It kills the cravings and appetite. Lots of crazy side effects……. Heart palpitations, anxiety, loss of sleep, dry mouth, bizarre dreams, insomnia……..yes, it really made me want to take it. I was super nervous and had a hard 2-3 days. I honestly feel this is my best chance so I held tight and tried to work through the side effects (they were strong the first 3 days) and now I’m down to dry mouth being the main issue.
I’m on day 12. I’m down to 11.3 pounds. Working my way through the best I can!! Doing intermittent fasting along with the pill. I’m enjoying that. My sleep pattern has changed. I used to be up until 12:30 every night. Most nights I’m in bed by 10. I am eating better, and trying to make lifestyle changes. My husband and twins (11) are super supportive and are cheering me on, and ranking all the new meals I’m making. We have found a few winners so far.
Short term goal -20 pounds by 2/26. I have a 1 month appointment.
Long term goal - 40 by May 17th. My nephew is getting married, and it is a black tie wedding. I just want to look nice for the event!
I need to add exercise. I hate exercise! With a big purple passion!!!! However……I hate being fat even more. I’ve been following this post for a while now. Hopefully o can find more success and we can continue sharing our journey to good health and slimmer bodies!

I'm going back on Semiglutide this month. I got my medication yesterday but am waiting until after the weekend as I have a birthday dinner and the SuperBowl. I'm pairing WW with it so I hope I can be more successful than I was last time I was on it.

This training phase looked so innocent on paper and it is K I L L I N G me haha. But man, I feel these muscles getting a good workout and I am getting more confident that I will get my pull up goal. And even though the scale has crept up, I'm actually starting to see more ab definition. I am going to chat with my trainer about going on a mini-cut. I don't feel quite as fluffy as I did in the thick of half-marathon training, but I'd love to drop a few pounds before my vacation in April

Well, I come to you with my head hanging low.....I fell off the health train since Christmas and between eating whatever the hell I wanted + waaaaaaaaaaay too many mixed drinks on vacation the last 15 days of January and I am up 10 lbs. And feel miserable. My face has broken out (from so much sugar, I am sure), headaches are back, and I just overall feel like crap.
So I am now back to fasting and counting my water to make sure I am drinking enough. I know this isn't the end of the world but it is frustrating that I put 10 lbs back on so much quicker than it took to lose it the first time. But I've done it once and can do it again.

Every year I get older, the weight gets harder to lose. I am so miserable right now.

Get your calories in, just make sure they are not junk calories. I struggle with this....and when I am not getting my calories in, then my body hangs on to the weight. You'd think we'd lose weight by under eating but I swear, I gain it so much quicker instead.

huskergal are you also doing some strength training? If you've increased your protein, it's best to also try to increase muscles at the same time. Lift some weights 4x a week, or use resistance bands, or just do body weight exercises, but do something to try to increase your muscle strength.
