Hi Peas, welcome to 29-4-29 Challenge #3. I will be your host each Saturday, and my challenges will be sketches. Today's sketches were made from some layouts I found on-line. Both of them have a row of embellishments - one has a horizontal row, and the other has a vertical row. The first sketch is from a layout by Julie Taylor for Bramble Fox. Here is her gorgeous layout: Merry Everything
The second sketch is from a layout by Jill Broadbent for SCT Magazine. Here is Jill's amazing layout: Simply The Best
I chose to do a layout using the second sketch today. Here is my layout: I used Spectrum Gardenia products by Katie Pertiet. The twist for today is to use at least three of the items listed below: F - frame E - ephemera B - banner R - ribbon U - unusual icon A - arrow R - ric rac Y - yellow If you are a member of one of the Q1 teams, you get 5 points for completing the challenge, and 2 points for the twist.

AussieMeg - Great sketches and layout! I'll have to see what I can come up with for these.

What fun sketches, AussieMeg, and that page is adorable. I usually choose horizontal border strips cuz they work better with my two page LO's, but I will be constructing a calendar page this month, and maybe a title page for an album, so I will definitely keep that vertical border sketch in mind.

I decided to use the first sketch. Christmas Party by BreetheFlea, on Flickr I made a few tiny changes, but mostly stuck to what was in the sketch, it came together pretty quickly. Checked paper is Echo Park (Santa Claus Lane), and the stockings are from every Christmas sticker sheet, or die cut pack that had a stocking in it that I own. I hope I don't need to make a stocking layout any time soon because I depleted the stash! I like how this turned out, thanks for the sketch AussieMeg

love those stockings breetheflea I stretched the sketch to two pages -and while the biggest tree is a sticker, all the others are fussy cut from journalling cards and PP - no twist because I only got two items -yellow and ephemera

Here is my take on that first sketch, AussieMeg. I have ricrac and a banner with some yellow on it (and I guess there is some yellow on some of the stickers). This is part of a two page spread I will post in the Gallery.
