Who is up for another round robin, sending a padded envelope of stamps and dies around the country?
Last time we each paid about $10 to mail the envelope to the next person in the group, taking out the supplies we loved and adding a few of our own discards in. The envelope stayed VERY full right to the end, so I am happy to start it going round again this spring.
Comment with questions or let me know you're in and I'll start a group chat to facilitate in a week or two.

Tagging onto this thread to say if there is anyone in New Zealand keen to do this I would be happy to organise :-)

Me, three (or four, depending on how one counts)! kiwikate, would it make sense to include Oz Peas as well? I'm not sure how postage works, whether it's like US and Canada or even worse, but figured it couldn't hurt to ask....

I'll participate if I don't have to ship outside the US. Welcome! Yes We decided last time it only makes sense to do domestic shipping and it’s a fixed cost using the priority padded envelope. It may have gone up a bit but last year it was about $10-11.

Tagging onto this thread to say if there is anyone in New Zealand keen to do this I would be happy to organise :-) It would be great to set up a NZ one, an Australian, and a Canadian version, if there were enough people I know postage is much more expensive even within other countries so it’s a lot harder… Thanks for offering to head up a NZ version! I was just at the post office yesterday and it definitely doesn’t make sense to do it across borders 😬

I didn't do this last time & am curious. Can you explain more? When you say supplies what does that mean? Just stamps & dies...does it include embellishments & paper too?

Are we expected to put new or used supplies in this? Last time we started with stamps, dies, and maybe a couple of embossing folders that had come from a retired DT member. A friend sent them to me because it was too much stuff, and it was too much for me too! So I took out a few things I liked and added in a few gently used things (dies, stamps, folders) from my stash I was sick of. Gently or even well used, really, as long as they're still usable and you think someone might enjoy receiving them. Most people added good stuff and the starting gift was good too. We made a list to determine the order and I mailed it to the next person who took out what they liked, added in a few things from their stash, and then mailed it to the next person... until it came all the way back to me even fuller than it started! (which was not my intention at all! I wouldn't have minded at all if it had been quite meager or never made it back to me). Most people only kept it for a few days before they passed it on so it went around the country in record time. We kept track in a PM. We only had to share our details with the person mailing to us. We used this 9x12 envelope which limited the size of things that could be added but also kept the price fixed. It looks like it's still $10.60 for anywhere in the country, any weight. A little cheaper if you use shipstation or pirateship, etc to buy postage online. I don't think we said no paper or embellishments, but perhaps because there were none in there to start with it didn't seem like anyone put any in. We can make the rules together but it might work better to create a separate round robin for paper and embellishments that would be more appealing to scrappers. I'm not sure they'd travel very well in the envelope as it is, might get bent up. If you like I can post a photo of how it looks right now. Hope that helps!

Yeah, that envelope was stuffed so full that paper would not have survived. I could easily see something similar started for 8 1/2 x 11 and smaller papers, maybe with chipboard backers on either side. But I can't see that it could be the same round robin as the sturdier stuff.

Thank you for explaining, joblackford . I've run something similar before, so I figured it was like that one. And thank you to the international Peas for understanding about shipping. I'm looking forward to this. My mom passed away last week, so I will be going through her craft supplies and putting in dies and stamps that she barely, or never, used.

Oh totally wasn’t suggesting we tag in on your swap- that would not be practical at all! Shipping between NZ and AUSt is insane too, so just putting it out there in case- you never know where a Kiwi might be lurking

Just FYI-I'm not sure how it came back to you joblackford, but when it came to me, it was no longer an envelope. I received a box of items! And, after taking out and adding in, it was still too much for an envelope, so I sent it back out in the box. Personally, I don't care if it's an envelope or a box, I'm willing to pay the postage. I just don't want anyone to be under the impression that it will only be so much and it ends up not being that.

We could make it a rule that it should be in the same envelope so no one has to pay more postage than expected if folks are concerned. Cardboard boxes and dies on magnet sheets get heavy in a hurry so that could be pricey. It had migrated back into the flat rate envelope by the time it came back to me.
