I’ve never owned a single pair of tall boots. I too fall into the “short with big calves” category plus I have problematic arthritic feet. Even if I wanted some it would be highly unlikely that I would ever find a pair that fit right. I could barely find a pair of warm winter boots that fit on my foot with the plate and screw in it.

Yep! I didn’t wear them a ton this season either, but I didn’t have a ton of opportunity. We also had higher temps than normal, so wore different things instead.

I pulled my black pair out today. One of my coworkers had her 50th birthday today and everyone wore all black. My boots had to be wiped down due to the dust on them. I will keep them, but I rarely wear them. Several years ago I went to a party where there were a dozen ladies. Only two of us were not wearing tall boots with jeans/pants tucked in. They all looked like some version of Han Solo. The pictures still make me crack up. Such a popular look. Ever since then, I really think long and hard about wearing tall boots. We do have the perfect weather for them though.

Maybe I need to hold my head down in shame, they are my go-to footwear in winter. I often wear leggings with a longer top and my skinny jeans are my most comfortable pants and I find I only like to wear them with boots and flats. I do not think flats are an option in winter in MN. I struggle with finding shoes that work with the pants I have. I have tried booties, but my jeans don't fir me at the bottom of the leg the best way to make booties look right. My jeans are kind of loose at the end, not fitted the way I usually see jeans with booties. I am open to suggestions on footwear. Do you have any photos of how your jeans fit? How to I upload a picture from my phone?

I would wear mine more but it isn’t cold enough where I live. I moved to Florida with 11 pairs of boot. What was I thinking? I’m down to 3 pairs of tall ones. I love the ones I kept. I wear classic black ones when I can and I’m keeping my brown leather boots and gray suede Anthropology boots because Itheyre awesome and I hope I’ll wear them again.
