It’s so interesting to see the changes in the NBBR from 2000. Back in 2000, I was a complete 180 from where I am today. I was one of those religious people who thought it was my mission to convert people to Christianity. I have some peas to thank for helping me to open my mind. I think I can thank Trump for truly opening my eyes to the hypocrisy and lies that I had been taught a good portion of my life. I pretty much don't like organized religion- even though there are some believers I could get behind.

I live in NYC and nobody assumes anything about anyone’s religion. I know some of my colleagues are Jewish because of their last name but have no idea if they practice or not. My friends of southern European descent are Catholic but I have no idea if the go to mass every Sunday or just for holidays. We don’t wish anybody a blessed day, and we wish people Happy Holidays because the person you are speaking to may not be Christian. If anybody tried to save my soul…let’s say I could be quite rude. But nobody has ever asked me about my religion. I do have several religious Catholic friends but they certainly don’t go around saying that theirs is the true religion and pretty much believe that the main thing is to be a decent person. I do have one SIL that is constantly talking about God, praying and Church. But that doesn’t keep her from calling the girl that is now dating her daughters ex ugly!

I need the option of I don't care what religion you are, but don't try to save or convert me.

With that being said, I respect others' beliefs whether I agree with them or not. It is just as offensive for non-religious people to refer to God as "Sky Daddy" as it is for religious people to try to force their beliefs on others. The religion I was raised in, God wasn't tolerant. Love was and still is conditional. The term sky daddy reflects my experience. It has nothing to do with people who do believe.
There is only one Universal Energy. I can't get behind that theory either. The option of ONLY one universal energy or ONLY one true religion.

Oprah - I don’t care what religion you are or are not but don’t jam your beliefs down other peoples throats or up their uteruses.

I selected three of them. I don’t care what religion you are or even if you are religious. And I selected I dislike religions because I personally never really felt at home whenever I explored any of them. But I don’t judge anybody by their religion, beliefs, path, culture… ET see. (that typo from the mic key board made me smile so I’m keeping it to share the wealth 😊)
I realized that my home is in the place where all religions, beliefs, paths and culture come together. (Cue The Beatles 🎶💜) So if I were to judge somebody by their religion then I wouldn’t be honoring my true path.
And I chose that my beliefs are strong. Even though that does not include religious beliefs. Believing goes beyond religion IMO. Just because I don’t believe in something doesn’t mean I have to go against it. Some other people’s cup of tea is not my own, and that’s OK. Just like my cup of tea may not be theirs. We can still have a tea party.

I don't care what religion you are UNLESS you use your beliefs to harm others or force people to follow your beliefs.
