I'm still not done. I'm exactly where I was on the above post. Still working on Lea's homework. I got distracted by a Waffle Flower order. Hoping to finish the assigned homework today and then get to the sentiments.

Is anyone having a heck of a time trying to die cut the tress and things for Majestic Mountains class?
I have tried in my Platinum 6 and also in my new Empress (both with and without metal shims) and I cannot get them to cut through my regular white CS (Hammermill 100lb). And I cannot get them too look good once I take an exacto knife to them afterwards due to the corners on the die cuts.
I've emailed PF and am waiting to hear back. That said, even if they were replace the die, I can't imagine it'll arrive before Saturday, and of course, this is the class I was most looking forward to.
Anyhow, PLMK how your die from this set cuts and if you've figured out how to get a clean cut from it and thanks!

MichyM The first time I used the tree die I only ran the die thru my platinum 6 once and I could not get the two fern plants out but my trees came out. I just tried again running it thru twice and everything came out except one fern. I did have to jiggle the trees back and forth both times to get them out but I did not need to use an exacto knife. I used Hammermill paper and fairly new plates.

I had hard time cutting it but my plates are a bit old now. I tried cutting it again using bubble mailer technique and it worked well. Hope this helps MichyM

I don't think I'd ever tried it, so I'm not sure whether the bubble wrap should touch the die or the paper, so I tried it both ways with no more luck than with the shims :/ Darn it! Thank you anyhow.

I have a trick you can try. Take some tape and just put a piece on the spot that doesn't cut thru. You might have to layer 2-3 layers. By doing this you just add extra pressure on those spots and sometimes that helps. I will try my set when I get home and report back.

Update, PF is sending a new die. Crossing everything that it arrives in time.
I have to miss the first 2 classes on Saturday due to a veterinary commitment for my two girls, so needless to say I really want to be able to at least be able to dig into Class #3!
If you're having issues with the die as well, please let PF know. There seems to be a QC issue with this particular die.

I just checked my dies because of this thread. Ran it through my Gemini II twice and everything fell out, then did it again only running it through once and everything came out but did require some poking. The smallest tree gave me a bit of an issue. I haven't tried it yet in my Platinum. Maybe I'll do that this afternoon. Glad PF is sending you a new die, Michy.

can we still sign up for the pink fresh event? it lets me put it in my cart but says registration closed june 25th I would email them (their CS email is on the website) and ask if they have extra kits. While the event takes place live this weekend, everything is available to access at your leisure later as well.

Is anyone participating in this in real time?
I had to miss the first class today due to a vet appt for my girls. Which ended up being $900. For routine(ish) yearly checkups for both of them. TG I'm selling some of my stash right now, it'll take a little of the sting out of that bill. * thanks for listening to my whine <3
I did get to participate in the second class live. I kind of did the third class, but my replacement die hasn't shown up yet, so I can't die cut the trees, greenery and other stuff yet. I do LOVE the registration marks on the first stencil and the die for the trees. Brilliant and so easy to line up. And the fact that they cut without a white border.
I have nothing prepped for tomorrow, but I do have the time to watch the first 2 classes live. I may stay up late tonight doing the prep...we'll see.
Oh and also, it is 1,000% better on YouTube. I am so glad PF finally gave in and made the move.

I did all three classes today. My desk is a disaster and I'll have to clean it before I can participate tomorrow. And yes, I'm so glad PF moved to YouTube. It's a definite improvement.

I did the classes live yesterday but was extremely slow even with more than the homework done so I only got 1 card completed in each class. I also made a couple mistakes so I'm not super happy with my cards. Here is hoping today goes better.

I only did the first 2 classes Spellbinder was the first. I changed up a few things in Dawn's class. Used some cover plates to add a design to the white background papers and for the 3 card I decided not to blend the frame and just used a washi bouquet. Im planning to give these away as a set.

Two more cards from yesterday. I changed up the colors. I know my stamping is really crooked 😒...note to self stamp first than diecut. I love this set and I can see trying out different color combos. Looking forward to see what our blending queen aka MichyM will create with this.

I thoroughly enjoyed this event. I have not finished any make and takes yet and hoping to get to them today. I was away from crafting for past 2-3 months but I finally said goodbye to my job and taking few months off to figure out what I want to do. I might do more paper crafting during my break to get away from everything. I love it.
I have taken a class from Kristina before (online card classes) but she seemed so much more relaxed and it was visible through her work. her voice during live video was so soothing.
Jennifer's interactions were so much more personal during live. She answered everyone with so much patience. I like Jennifer better when she does live vs her pre-recorded videos. Her cards were intriguing but she made sure to pause in between for a few seconds and kept checking that participants are caught up.
Dawn was another great instructor and I hope to see more of her at Pinkfresh. Her teaching style and thought process was so relatable and I still learnt so much for her.
Kim from spellbinders was amazing and she is such a fun person but also calm at the same time.
Lea and Heather were their usual. I hope Pinkfresh considers alternating between them for their events now. Their cards are super predictable and their cards and photography looks the same to me. I really can not tell who created which card. They are good but some change might do some good now.
What I like most about Pinkfresh events is 1 hour break in between classes. I could catch up on my cards and had enough time to eat in between and take care of some family needs as well.
Overall this event was well organized and products were great. Their changes sound promising for next year and got me excited.

I enjoyed the weekend. I hadn't been crafty for a while so it was felt good to create and to play. The Spellbinders class/products were OK. I'm not into the perfume bottle thing but the frames and flowers are definitely usable. I realized I like the flower better as "half" a flower so I only used the bottom portion with the three tips. I haven't finished putting that card together yet. I really enjoyed making the pink perfume bottle card because it reminded me of my grandma. She always had tons of perfume bottles in all shapes and sizes on her dresser. Don't think I'd ever send it to anyone but I enjoyed making it. I'm a huge fan of the washi products and loved Dawns class. I messed up on the second card and my frame die is not centered so it's totally bugging me. I'm either going to pull it apart and rearrange it or re-do it. I have not had a chance to do the make & takes but really want to get those done. I was surprised at who Dawn was. I always assumed she was an older lady so seeing this young woman on my screen was such a shock. It looks like WPlus9 has closed down, I had no idea it closed. I'm a fan of their older products. After working with the mountain stencils, I just don't like them. I think it's because the mountains look like pyramids to me. I tried a few different color combos and most ended up in the trash. I do like the tree stencils and die but just not a fan of the mountains. Playing with this product actually enabled me to order the Honey Bee Lakeside stencil & die. Well I ordered it from AE so we'll see. I like the frames from the framed art products. I don't have anything like that in my stash so it's nice to get something different. Love love love Kristina's stepped card. I thought it was just OK in the book but putting it together made it so awesome. Someone in the Facebook group did a blue ombre version. I'm totally copying that and doing it in pinks and in oranges. I watched Jennifers class but didn't create any of the cards. I just wasn't wowed by any of them. I did like her Make & Take #2 so I'll probably do that one. In all honesty, I haven't really been wowed or enabled by anything Jennifer has done lately. I agree with the poster above who said Lea & Heather have morphed into one in the same. All in all it was a good event. I like that they are going to show the products before each event in 2025 but I'm bummed that they aren't going to release the products. Here are the card that are mostly completed. I still need bling and sentiments on some of them.

GORGEOUS cards azcrafty and pinklady! And pinklady your mountains are freaking perfect! You did a beautiful job with the stencils IMHO. I may card-lift the one to the left I really loved working alongside Dawn. I swear everything that came out of her mouth, and the way she said it was totally me. She could be my daughter. PF asked us about the instructors on the FB page. I only posted positives (about Dawn and Kristina), but I so wanted to ask them to keep Heather and Lea as the faces of PF, but to replace them as instructors. I really don't feel like I get anything from them, and their designs (as we've all discussed) are pretty repetitive and expected. I thought Jennifer was fine, but she sure didn't blow me away as she has done in the past. Maybe it's because I'm a more seasoned card-maker now, I dunno. I've only completed maybe 6 cards? I ended up double booked at times over the weekend, so I'll try and catch up this week. The Majestic Mountains replacement die is supposed to arrive today so I hope to dig into that class in a couple of days.

I loved Jennifer's and Kristina's cards the most. When it comes to products, my favorites were mountain set and modern botanicals. pinklady did you see the slimline card using modern botanicals set from Kristina's class? I am going to try that with ombre colors.

Beautiful cards pinklady. Love your gray mountains and I'll have to try something similar. I agree with everyone I'm tired of Lea and Heather. I can take one of them per event, but not both. Heather had a perfect opportunity to make some masculine cards with her set but nope she went all feminine on both of hers. It will be interesting to see how the all masculine card event will go. I still enjoy the more laid back pace of this events. I have 3 classes to finish plus the make and takes.

I don't have that beautiful plaid stencil, but I do have enough of the products where I can attempt a duplication of that card. It is gorgeous.
