Did you watch her Friday Night Live (FNL) where she explains this new release and shows all the products? Much better than I initially thought. I’ll be getting some of it. Going to be sold on an end aisle at Joann in May. Thanks for sharing. The repackaged release makes more sense, given it'll also be available at a big box store. |

I really like the paper pad, I haven’t really bought any VB in the past, that I know of. The embellishment packs are stuffed and seem like a really good deal. Even her stamps are very affordable.
I like the look of mixed media but hate the mess, so this appeals to me.
And thank you to the poster who mentioned her YT live where she shows the whole release. A live video is so much better than a static picture online.

Mixed Media is a special release. Its an opportunity to pick up new versions of previously released paints, inks, dies, stamps, die cuts ephemera and papers. Vicki explains it in her YT video from 3/22. The paper pad and ephemera packs contain favorites/neutrals from some of her popular past collections (Storyteller, Fernwood, Sweet Rush, Color Study, Where to Next, Lets Wander, etc.) She said some of the pieces are in different scales than the original releases and the ephemera pack also includes diecuts, washi strips, and acetate piece. It's a great way to pick up more items from collections you really loved, or if you totally missed a collection you can get some of the pieces you missed.
She also included a mixed media paper pad with different types of paper - I believe it was vellum, watercolor paper, and fiber paper?
I plan on picking up some of the paints I need to replace old ones, and some of the ephemera packs. This collection will be available in scrap stores and in Joann's. It's also on pre-order at A Cherry on Top.
A totally separate spring/summer collection will also be announced and released soon.

Has anyone worked with this release yet?
I ran into Joann's today and picked up a lot of this collection. Most of the collection was on sale, too! I'm excited to work with the watercolors, acrylic paint, paint pens, and ephemera. I'd love to see some inspiration using these products!

craftymom101 - have you looked on Youtube for Vicki's Friday Night Live Videos? She has been working with the Mixed Media collection for the past several weeks. Also her design team posts layouts on the Vicki Boutin Creative Community page on FB. The design team has been using the Mixed Media collection for the last couple weeks also. Sarah Millerhouse and Natalie Desousa also have posts on Youtube and Facebook.

mayceesgranny thank you for reminding me about Vicki’s YouTube channel! I watched a few of her videos tonight and found some inspiration. I wanted to play without a scrapbook page in mind, and this is what I came up with:  I’m not sure if I’ll add it to a scrapbook page or tuck it into an art journal, but I had fun! All Vicki products except the silver dots… those are a Zig Dots pen in metallic silver.
