My simple pleasure is the pansy bowl I purchased for the front steps. Costco near me didn't get any this year, so I treated myself to one at the local garden center. It was twice the price, but it makes me so happy! It's also larger, with huge blossoms in all shades of purple.

I love pansies.  Mine is sitting in silence. There is so much noise around us, I need the quiet and with DH and dog out and the cats both asleep, the house is quiet and I can breathe. |

I just took town winter and put up spring/summer decor. My simple pleasure is that I won't change a thing until September.
Also, my DIL sends me 6-9 pictures a day of the granddaughter. I rarely look at picture and think... I have paper for that. Makes me happy.

Right this minute? Sitting on the sofa in silence with a cuppa making a list for next weeks meals. Our DD, son in law and 2 year old granddaughter were here for the weekend and we totally adore her, but boy, is she full on!! She doesn't stop talking, wants to help with everything, do everything herself, wants to organise (boss around) everyone else and generally be 'in charge'  You can't pull the wool over her eyes, distract her, or fob her off at all - she doesn't miss a trick. Totally adorable and she'll be a force to be reckoned with one day for sure but for now she's flippin' hard work  |

Sitting in the recliner with the grand dog resting on her heating pad and the backdoor open. I’ve been queasy all week and I’m finally able to sit and relax without feeling like I’m going to be ill at any moment

OK, it’s kind of dumb but I’ve been spending so much time building a dog Instagram. It’s been great getting to talk to other dog lovers and make funny videos, but it takes up so much of my time.

Earlier today I was sat on the pier with a starbucks hot chocolate just watching the sea & thinking about stuff . It is My go to place to clear My head it was a bit chilly and windy but that is the perfect time because there are very few people about & I don't like people very much .

Being at my semi annual 4-crop. It snowed on Thursday and we were as giddy as a bunch of school kids! I finished a bunch of pages, slept like a baby and finished The Women last night. ❤️

This week is heating pad, without it I’d be unable to move right now. Lately, it’s been super easy laundry. We got rid of so many clothes and have a process set up that just works so well for us. We have 4 loads of laundry a week, and are never ever behind anymore. For those of you that were able adult from the get go this probably isn’t a big deal, but we used to have tons of clothes and linens and get so freaking far behind. Speaking of plants, DH got me a beautiful hydrangea. Help! I live like a vampire but it says bright sunlight. How bright are we talking here? Does it need to go outside? Cause I don’t go there and I want to be able to enjoy it |

Cause I don’t go there and I want to be able to enjoy it I don't know how long it will last indoors, but eventually you will need to plant it outdoors if you want to keep it. Be sure to wait until any danger of frost has passed. Hydrangeas are very tender plants. Plant in the sun and be sure there is a good deal of space around it. You will be rewarded with beautiful bloom for years to come. My simple pleasure lately has been rewatching Elementary. I'm mixing it in with other TV shows that I'm so happy to have back. I hadn't realized how much I missed network TV. |

You're dead tired as you walk back home. The moment you open the gate, you witness a lady waiting for you at the door and smiling at you. Your mom. That little smile brightens you up a bit. |
