I have been wearing third love bras when I want an underwire but lately they are digging under my arms. None of my bralettes offer enough support to wear out of the house, particularly with t-shirts. Does anyone have recommendations? I wear a 36DD. I want something that is comfortable, smoothing and doesn’t give ink-boob.

I wear this Beyond Bra from Evelyn & Bobbie: Bra. It was recommended by the Peas a while back and I've since purchased 2. I can also attest to their amazing Customer Service, but you can definitely wait for a sale. I believe Kohl's used to carry them, but I went to the site directly. I'm larger than your size by a bit and I like them.

I'm also 36DD and I have been using Evelyn & Bobbie for the past 4 or 5 years. They are very comfortable! I have worn them on international flights and felt totally comfortable wearing one on that long of a flight. I could never say that about an underwire bra. They aren't cheap, so wait for a sale.

I’ve looked at Evelyn and Bobbie but man are they expensive. Any ideas when they usually have sales? I’ll have to see what their return policy is. If they are good and last I’m ok paying that but would prefer something about half that price.

If they send me a coupon, I'll let you know.

Are you wanting a bralette or an underwire? For underwire, I recommend the Corin Virgina Spacer bra. Light foam molding, very comfortable. I'm a 32 DD (E) and I don't have any issues with it. The other underwire I like is the Chantelle C-Jolie Smooth Custom Fit. Again, light foam molding and comfortable. Both are pricier, but have held up very well.
Since your other bras have started to dig in, have you been sized lately? Either a weight gain or loss will affect the fit. I'd recommend getting refitted if possible.

I tried the Beyond Bra from Evelyn & Bobbie when it was recommended here a few years ago. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the right bra for me, but the customer service was great. I emailed them with questions about the fit and they were very helpful and quick to respond. The return process was also very easy. I also really appreciated that it’s a women founded/owned company. I swear most bras so uncomfortable, they must be designed by men. 😉

Another who is not an Evelyn and Bobbie fan. I’m a 32H.
My daily wear bras are Natori yogi convertible bras. They’re an underwire sports bra that does NOT give me uniboob. You can wear the straps crossed or straight. They’re fairly substantial and not flimsy. I also wear them as a swim suit. I have yet to find regular bras that are as comfortable as these are. I can and have slept in them even!

I almost exclusively wear the Evelyn & Bobbie Beyond Bra. I'm a G cup and can't wear anything underwire anymore. The Beyond gives the most support and shape from all the brands I've tried. Plus, their offices are local to me, and I've done a few fit & wear tests for them over the last couple of years! They are the absolute nicest team of women.
If you sign up for their email list on their website, you can get $15 off. I believe they were recently featured on QVC, so you might be able to find them at a discount there.

I recently started having (what I think is) nerve pain in my left arm due to the bra strap divots. I am a larger size, DD, and the underwires of quality, good condition bras don't bother me (I will even comfortably sleep with them), rather what bothers me is uniboob, or shifting while I'm trying to lay down etc lol My girls need to be supported, otherwise I'm distracted.
SO, given the arm pain, I wanted rule out the bra straps on my pretty, lifty, bras, so I went for 3 months wearing only sports bras with racer back, OR Branwyn (also not cheap) wool bras. The bralette is definitely uniboob for me, but it doesn't get sweaty and gross (like sports bras do), so I can live with it, I actually hiked in it (believe me- I'm surprised my dang self!) The curvy bra is also not my favorite under t-shirts or light shirts etc, but it holds in place, is comfy (no wires) and a minor uniboob I can live with under hoodies/lab coats/around the house in pjs etc. Btw- the nerve pain went away after about 4 weeks.
I only wear "nice bras" when my clothes dictate these days to keep it at bay. Otherwise, pretty much sports bras while working out, and the Branwyns. Totally recommend them.

What is “ink boob?” I am a 34 DDD, and have been on the hunt for a decent bra for when I am leaving the house. I tried lots of different ones at Nordstrom but finally ended up with this one from VS: www.victoriassecret.com/us/vs/bras-catalog/5000005702It’s wireless and very comfortable, but I feel like it gives me lift. Weirdly, the pointelle ones are the most comfortable for me, not the plain “smooth” ones. I thought they’d be the same, but no. 😕

I switched to a Wacoal non-underwire and I have never felt so free! Im a D so I always thought I had to have an underwire. I always thought I had to have an underwire too because I had worn one since I was in my early 20s. Then when I was in my late 50s I got a small tumor thing on my chest wall. Not in the breast at all, but right below my left breast on the ribs. I had it removed, twice actually because the doctor didn’t get it all the first time. I could not tolerate the feeling of a wire bra pressing on the scar area. I bought my first no-wire bra and haven’t been able to wear a wire since. I think the tumor was growing right on top of a nerve because even just touching the skin where the tumor was removed is a weird numb-like feeling, but not numb to pain, if that makes sense. It feels really odd. I am going to give one of those Evelyn and Bobbie bras a try. Thank you to all that recommended it. Question. Do they hold up well? Do you recommend hand washing or putting it in the machine in one of those protective net bags on delicate? I don’t want to have to buy more than two of them at that price and since you shouldn’t put them in the dryer, I hope to be able to limit myself to 2 of them. And I really need them to hold up for a long time.

And I really need them to hold up for a long time. This is the exact same reason I can't wear underwire anymore. I've had 2 different cysts removed from places the underwire sits, and I can't handle having anything pressing there. I wash my EB bras on the delicate cycle in a washing bags, and hang dry. I have 4 I cycle through, and I just replaced the oldest one this winter. It lasted about 3.5 years and the straps wouldn't stay at the right adjustment anymore (they've made some changes to the strap adjustor hardware since then, I was part of a fit & wear test for the updated version about 2 years ago).

I ended up ordering an “as is” beyond bra from qvc. I hope I don’t recommend that. It sounded like they are just returns and I don’t really care about that if it was just tried on. But we will see. It was half price.

For those that wear Evelyn and Bobbie…I got mine from qvc today and it seemed promising in terms of support but seems too small. I’m reading on the website that they will mold to you in the first three wears. I think I should get a large instead of medium but want to know if they truly do stretch that much.

I ordered from QVC, too. I’m hoping that it will fit, especially since they are on sale on the E&B website.

I have been wearing a Bali minimizer bra for years. I decided to try one of their bras with no underwire. I rather like it. JCPennys was having a half price sale so I purchased 2 to give it a try.

Yes, they will relax and mold to you after a few wears - depending on where it feels tight. You can also stretch the parts that feel too snug to help it fit better, I always do that to the top of the cups.

If they are good and last I’m ok paying that but would prefer something about half that price. Their return policy is just fine. I took the plunge and ordered a bra. I gritted my teeth and paid the $91.
Much too much money for a bra, but everyone here said they were the ultimate bra. It came this week, I wore it for one afternoon. I didn't really like it. It fit just fine, it didn't chafe, it was the proper fit, but I just did not like the harness feeling it gave me. I didn't really like pads in the cups as I am large enough.
After mulling it over, I returned it this morning. I went online, filled out the questions, the return was approved, a shipping label was emailed to me, I printed it and mailed it back this morning. Details say when it is received the refund will be credited to my CC.
I wonder if some Peas were not properly sized for the bra they were wearing prior to the E&B bra.

I've got an Eby bra. They are all wireless. They have several different styles. I wear a size very similar to you and I have grown to really like the support and shape it gives. I will be getting more. And they just came out with some more colors. When I ordered, they were nude, white, black.
