I buy MedJet in five year increments for medical evacuation.
For expensive trips, I work with Steve at The Trip Insurance Store. He will give options depending on the coverage I want. I now start when I pay a deposit as it covers pre-existing conditions as of that time. I increase as I spend money on the trip. Steve and his staff are excellent. I’m currently using them for an expensive trip that seven of us are going on. All 7 have chosen to insure through him and are very happy with the process.

I buy a yearly policy through either AIG or Allianz. Covers travel mishaps and medical. Have done this the past two years. Before that had policies for each trip. Wouldn’t think of leaving the country without it.

I have an annual plan that I buy for travel medical insurance because I cross the border multiple times a year. But it's only been since covid that I have started buying the airline's cancellation or trip interruption insurance

Yes always. I used to use insure my trip now I use square mouth. Same type of platform. We got stuck for a week in a cyclone in Fiji. They paid for our hotel, all my food. Broke my ankle that same trip paid for the medical. You only have to cover the non refundable part of a trip. Always buy it within 10 days of making first deposit for trip.

I never travel without insurance - both medical and cancelation.
I had to use cancelation a few years ago when I ended up in surgery te day before a cruise.
I've used interruption when bags didn't show up on another trip.
Thankfully I haven't had yo use medical, but for the $30 it costs for a week, I wouldn't take a chance.
I've heard/seen too many stories of clients who declined ins and were out thousands of dollars.
