Good morning.
Dh is going to be busy pulling up our living room carpet and cutting apart an old wall unit. He's gonna be a busy guy. I'm gonna be resting. It's so boring.
We're starting our day by watching a home renovation show.
Not sure what dh will have for dinner.
What's on your menu?
What is everyone up to this weekend? Ods is coming home to help dh move our old furniture out of the living room and to the curb for pickup. It's very old and very well, old. I hope to work on my puzzle a bit. Apart from that, we might go pick up some flooring, if I'm better. Woohoo!
May this weekend bring happiness, fun and relaxation to all.

Good morning scrapmaven. New furniture is always exciting. How nice you get to see your boy and he's doing hard labor for you. I just couldn't take it this morning. I could not sit around another day doing nothing. I went to the farmer's market. I had to carry all my groceries with my right hand, but I didn't care. I was out of the house!!! And I'm totally over sandwiches and bagels for dinner. I'm cooking tonight. I have 9 good fingers. I can cook with 9 good fingers. So far, I have whipped up some dough to make some whole wheat lavash. It'll be ready in probably another hour. I have put a loaf of peanut butter banana bread in the oven. I have cut vegetables and put them in a jar to pickle. I'm having crispy tofu roll ups in my lavash with some lentils and some pickled vegetables/arugula/lemon sauce. I need food. I need vegetables. I'm doing it. 9 fingers! I don't even care. Honestly, though my thumb hurt pretty good yesterday and it's throbbing pretty good today too. It feels like it is pulling. The stitches pulling. It's still swollen and bruised. But I'm cooking, damnit! LOL!

jeremysgirl, I am glad you are beginning to get out and about, but take care not to overdo it. This morning my cleaner was in. She is replacing my regular cleaner for a couple of months while he helps a friend set up a cleaning business in Stuttgart. Normal she will come every other Thursday, as he do, but she had an appointment yesterday so we postponed. I spent the time in my craft room. I have cleaned off the desk, which means we can’t have guests as the pull out sofa is now covered with stuff. I finished my journal pages from our trip and will now move onto a Colour Play online course I signed up for in February and almost forgot about until I found the email in my junk folder just after we got home! Thankfully, it is self paced. Tomorrow I am going for brunch with my After School Care team, but that’s my only commitment for the weekend. Next weekend is 1st Communion weekend, so I will need to do some planning for that at sometime soon.

Nothing planned for the weekend, still waiting on the shower. GRRRR
SO may work tomorrow, if so I will mess around with my junk journal. After I take one dog to the vet for shots and to see if what I think is arthritis is arthritis. Poor guy. He gets hives from allergies so he has to take a pill every day and not this. He is 7 now, my other one is 9ish.
Dinner will probably be out, just SO and I. We did end up at Red Robin last night, I love their BLTA croissant sandwich!
Rain is coming tonight, tomorrow night, and Sunday. It is supposed to be dry tomorrow for most of the day. I hope so, then I can hang out my laundry! I love doing that.

The meme below is for all you kitty lovers ~ the Love Cat! I have an appointment at Verizon this morning. We received DH's new phone but the Sim card tray is stuck in his old phone so I need help with that. I'll also get him a screen protector and a case. Dinner will be chicken noodle soup as it is a tad chilly today. TGIF!

I'm going to have a fried egg & bacon sandwich for b'fst, no idea for dinner. Last night I had cinnamon/brown sugar oatmeal. I have been working on my front deck. One day of work, 3 days of recuperation. I am getting excited to go to EXPO.

Happy Friday!
I just had my one-year review with my boss and got top marks in all categories plus a raise! Nice way to start out the weekend.
Tonight will be the dinner I didn't make last night since we went out. I need to use up the shrimp I took out of the freezer so I'll be combining that with some sausage and corn.
Hope you all have a great day!.

The old one is a Galaxy S7 that was mine way back when. DH refuses to buy the newest phones that are over $1000. He doesn't need one like that. I got him an S22, which is what I have, in Mint condition for $329. Most phones have a sim card or an eSim card. It connects you to your provider.

I loved back in the old days when you could walk into the store, buy your phone, and they would set everything up before you left. Those were the days. ETA: I am not a techy person. I struggle with everything that has come out post DVD player. 🤣 Except Excel. I rock excel.

I literally just left the house just to get a McDonald's cheeseburger. How pathetic is that? But I had a graving for one so...here I am in my car, eating a McD cheeseburger and peaing. 🤪 Hello!

Happy Friday! I just got home. I got up and got to the gym early. Was hoping to avoid the crowds but everyone must have been there because of the rain. I wanted a pedi but it was going to be over an hour wait and I just don't have the patience to sit around waiting and then sit patiently for the actual pedi. Oh well. It was time for a new pair of tennis shoes. My feet have really been bothering me after I walk. Off I went to the running store. I found a pair that I really like. After some more boring errands I am now home. Today is YDS birthday. All the kids and grandkids are coming over for dinner tonight. We will celebrate all of the four April birthdays. jeremysgirl don't do too much. I know you aren't the sit around and do nothing type but rest when you need to. Tearisci congratulations! Hope everyone has a fabulous Friday!

cadoodlebug, the little guy in my avatar loves your kitty photo and says thank you. He wonders if they're related? jeremysgirl, this is a good day to read book 5 of the Harry Potter series. Rest your hand. I know it's a drag, but the more you rest the less pain you'll have. Tearisci, congratulations. Nice to be recognized for a job well done.

Crop is going well. I’ll try and take some pics. The room is bigger and the food is so much better. They have been very accommodating to my BFF who has celiac. I am getting a lot done. jeremysgirl. I really can’t wait for our farmers markets to open in about a month

Today I went to a retirement lunch for someone I used to work with. It was so fun to see my former coworkers - some I hadn’t seen since I retired.
Tomorrow night DH and I are going out for supper with his sister and her new boyfriend. I’m glad she’s found someone and I’m looking forward to meeting him.
Supper tonight is chicken souvlaki with Greek salad. DH will have grilled burgers.

I think they still do if you buy a phone from them. Since I bought DH's phone at Swappa, Verizon would have set everything up for $29 which is quite a bargain if someone is not techie. I opted to do it myself and everything transferred seamlessly. When we went in to have the Sim card transferred, when he discovered it was bad, he installed a new one and didn't charge us for it. We were there for a good 45 minutes and he only charged us for the screen protector that we bought. If you're looking for a phone on the secondary market, I highly recommend Swappa.

My last phone I ordered like 3 days before Esther died. It came in the mail several days later and I just handed it to Jeremy and told him to do the whole thing. I'm not even sure if he had help. 😪 I hope it lasts a while I like this one. I would totally pay $29 for someone to set up my phone!

I only worked half a day today and that was enough ... got into it with a 12 year old girl first period ... she had some sort of rude comment about everything and I shut her down ... she was not impressed ... a manipulator to the max ... doesn't work with me. I have no plans tonight so far so I guess I'll be playing on the laptop and catching up on things I have recorded on TV ... I was supposed to see this guy but he said he couldn't make it until 10pm ... ummm, dude, I am 57-freaking-years-old, 10pm is not a start time for me! This is why I am single. Dinner will be rechauffe calamari with adobo sauce to dip it in from the Mexican restaurant we went to last night ... of course it will be all rubbery warmed up but that's OK because it's still yummy!

scrapmaven your dh sounds like he's embracing retirement! How great that your son will help. When will the new furniture arrive? jeremysgirl be careful, you do not want to undo the good from the surgery. jeremysgirl and cadoodlebug at Apple when I bought my new phone they didn't give me an option of a traditional sim card just an esim, and the ability to add additional esim. The apple guy went ahead and activated that and took care of it. And AT&T still charged me $35 to activate. stormsts I love my blue superfeet insoles too that I buy, between them and my asics my feet are much happier. Happy birthday to your YDS. Had a lovely walk, now doing chores, laundry etc. Tonight is rechauffe chili!

got to the gym this morning. picked up my photo prints to work on mil's album. 85% finished cleaning out my study/scrap place/library... did some work in my spare bedroom.
some more errands done.
left overs again.. chicken, salad and a mandarin orange.
and somehow I got a bug bite inside my elbow.. which sucks, as I am allergic and it is swelling. I'll find some cream for it in a bit.
