I already have a mini Sizzix that is still working and I bought the Altenew mini die cutter when they had the huge sale months ago but this little beauty is just screaming my name. It has the 3 1/2” opening which I really wanted, the universal plate system and since they’re including a 3D embossing folder with it makes me believe they will be coming out with a lot more of them. www.youtube.com/live/VHE60C2e94o?si=sXec1nAz5EQh-iIuETA: If anyone considering getting the Scout I just pre-ordered mine from ACOT. I got free shipping and another $5 off by using my points. You can get it in white or Mist Blue with the flowers on it like the Lilac one.

Well, if you're crazy so am I, and I already have the mini from Stampin Up! And I didn't even see the video yet (going to watch it now), I just saw an email from Spellbinders.
eta: Ohh, Scrapbook.com is going to have a pink one! Less expensive, but I'm sure their shipping charges will offset any savings that way . . .

I already have a Side Kick, but I want it too plus the Platinum 6. I love the lilac set, but it doesn't match anything I own, so will probably just get the white.

I have the SideKick as well, but this one has quite a bit larger of a cutting surface. Not to mention the universal plate system. Even the mini from SU doesn't have the length on the platform; that's how I'm going to justify it for myself. I'll probably just get the white; I have the full-size platinum and that one's white. Although I don't care if any of my stuff matches or not.

I have a ton of Spellbinder dies and according to what they said 85 to 90% of their dies will work on it was another plus.

I don't have any kind of mini die cutter so I might give this serious consideration. It would save me some desk space, but I'd need to stash my BigShot somewhere else and still have it easy to access. So it might be easier for me not to add another thing with more plates to store...

I deliberately chose a platform-less mini die cutter. I like the easier, handier storage and (mostly) don't mind the holding the plates trade off.

I have the Side-Kick and I use it a LOT. However, it's max is just less than 2.5" wide and I did buy the longer 6" plates for it. Perfect for cutting critters, sentiments and sentiment strips.
I would LOVE to have one of the little guy machines that cut 3" (or more) but I just can justify the splurge since the SK works so well.
Also, I like that to use the SK you only need two plates. (I have to say that the only thing I dislike about the P6 is fumbling with all those plates.
Haha, did I just talk my self out of it???

HA Compact Cutter. Love it. The plates are 3” x 8.5” which is among the larger available for this type of machine. Other than learning curve/muscle memory issues (it cuts up not down like the P6), I’ve had no issues with it.

As I was doing my homework for the Spellbinders Weekender, I was really wishing my Scout was here. Most things are too big for the Sidekick and my poor Gemini was running endlessly for smaller items. I think I'm really going to get a lot of use from the Scout.
