That’s giving off strong Current vibes for me too. It might be a long shot, but maybe if you emailed them a photo of the bag they could tell you if it was one of theirs?

I would testify that I had that exact bag at one time. I would purchase from a store (The Paper Store, I think) and an assortment of bags would be wrapped together. I have one bag from that time. Here is the identifying information from my remaining bag.

Not to brag, but I lived near a Current outlet store.. it was the BEST.. so so cheap and fun to look through. No frills store... everything in boxes on tables.. it was sorted good though. Spent many hours looking for deals. The store was even located in some warehouse type area... you had to really look for it to even find it. That sounds awesome! I would have loved that. Google "Hallmark artist Mary Hamilton" I loved her sweet, cute little animal drawings. The bag reminds me of her work. this thread takes me back though, to the fun of ordering from the Currents catalog back when it first came out. So many fun things to order. Like stationery back when I used to write letters. I was trying to remember names of any of the more prolific Hallmark artists. Thanks! I miss writing letters. Although I've been taking part in Postcrossing, and that helps fill that letter-writing void a bit.

To me it looks like something from the dollar store. But obviously it’s not the right season to check.

The side of the bag caught my eye as there is writing on it. Can you remember or make out what it says and add that to your searches?

What about hobby Lobby? It does look familiar.
Would it be possible to make your own at Zazzle?

Another thought is Oriental Trading Company. They don’t have a lot listed right now, though.

Would it be possible to make your own at Zazzle? I never even thought of that. Thanks! Do you think it could be a gift bag that was sold through a school fundraiser ... A company called JT Enterprises I think ... I also believe I have seen this bag! I will also look and see if I have one! It reminded me of school fundraisers too!

do you mind if I ask about the sentimental value? Why does someone love it so much - I'm just being totally nosy!

If it did come in that pack of bags someone posted above, they're marked "greenbrier" and that was or still is a distributor for Dollar Tree.

do you mind if I ask about the sentimental value? Why does someone love it so much - I'm just being totally nosy! My extended family on my mom's side always have a gift that is the "open-me-last" gift. It may the biggest gift, or the most requested gift, or the biggest surprise, or the most sentimental gift. Now, same family has this thing about keeping gift boxes to reuse---forever. At some point someone started marking the bottom of the box with the name of the person it was going to---probably just for ease of keeping them straight while wrapping. Then the next year, they did the same thing, only if the box already had a name, then they added the present year next to the new name. So now we have boxes with 40 years' worth of cousins', grandparents', siblings', etc. names on the bottom of them with the years they were given to those people, that keep being reused and pass from household to household. (Yes, we're crazy. ) So this person likes snowmen, and back in the 90s one year their "open-me-last" gift was put into this bag. The recipient liked it so much, that it kept being reused for them year after year, and always for the open-me-last gift. (Just like we keep the boxes and resuse them over and over for people only in the family.) So 2 years ago the bag came home with me at Christmas time, and because we also celebrate Orthodox Christmas, as well, my husband saw that bag and used it for someone in my house for Orthodox Christmas. And I remember seeing it under our tree and thinking "Oh my gosh---I need to keep an eye on that bag when it's opened." Only apparently I either didn't, or I just don't remember. So this Christmas it didn't get used, and a little while after Christmas the usual recipient very gently asked me about it and I told them I forgot about using it, which was true! I did forget that we had it. But now I don't know where it is. And I'm *hoping* it's still here, but I figure I better start trying to find a back-up in case it isn't.

You’re doing the Lord’s work here. 😂 LOL! This is a person who's very sentimental to begin with, so there's that, too.
