I'm not sure...at first glance I didn't like it but looking more closely, I think there are papers I like - mostly for their B-sides - but overall? it's too dingy beige for me

but overall? it's too dingy beige for me I really hope that "vintage" look is not coming back to take over the paper industry. I like that there are images and backgrounds that would work with college/university student pages, but that "dingy beige" just makes me sad...

ooof - knee jerk "no" for me! As Linda and grammadee said - "dingy beige"!

I have to say that I love the 49 and Market went way out of the box for a school line. Such a great idea. But I really am not in the market for any school lines.

I don't hate the colour palette. It has some of the autumn colour combos I enjoy. I also don't want the whole collection. I would buy the brick paper, the book shelf paper, maybe the hexagons with the ledger on the back, the black and white numbers. I'd pass on all the embellishments.

I have no need for this theme but I like the idea. It's nice to see something school/education related that's not big red apples and primary colors. I think it would be great to document the college years.

I like this one and may need it to scrap college photos. Definitely nice to see a mature school line. I like the embellishments and appreciate the subtle colors, instead of bright and primary.

I like some of the papers.
Usually I prefer brighter, bolder colors.....it's nice to see different "School colors", other than the traditional red-yellow-blue or the gold and black Graduation lines, that are more commonly used in School lines.
I like that it is not the usual Pre-School and Elementary School, type of style. This line seems to be geared towards High School and College students.

I like it. I'm excited to see something other than florals from 49 & Market, and I look forward to seeing what else this designer does. I have a few university graduation photos that I could scrap with this line. Overall, I like the b-sides more than the fronts. I was also a bit underwhelmed by the embellishments as this is usually where 49 & Market shines. I don't have a huge need for a school line, but this is beautiful and I will for sure pick up a few sheets, even if it is just to use the backside.

Not my favourite that’s for sure . Mat grands are all in primary school and I think this is a bit dungy for their grades

I actually need this paper! My parents (both now deceased) met in college and I have a bunch of old/vintage photos (all black & white) and ephemera from their college days that this paper would be perfect for. So while I don't actually love the whole collection to scrap current college days, it is actually perfect for this particular project. I'm excited and will purchase quite a few of the papers, and maybe some of the other bits and pieces (probably the rub-on transfers), not the entire collection.

My first response is Meh... I like a more mature school line, but I don't really like the coloring of it. So vintagey or dingy, or something. It reminds me of Mintay so much and that is just not my style or whatever. I'm also a little disappointed in the embellishments as others said. I might pick up a few of the papers-I do like ledger and grid patterns. Maybe the rub ons cuz I just love the rub ons, and these could be used for a lot.
Thanks for sharing!

I notice this isn't a Katie Pertiet collection. Anyone familiar with the designer (Dennis Bruton)?

This reminds me of K&Co.’s old Life’s Journey line. I’ll pass on this as I’m pretty sure I still have some of it in my stash.

I don't hate this quite as much as I expected from reading everyone's response to it. There are a couple of b sides I quite like and may end up purchasing, the green graph is especially lovely. Overall though it does feel quite brown and old fashioned and not entirely my style.

My first thought is that it doesn't look like 49 & Market to me= I had to double check the company when I saw it. It is a bit different than their usual aesthetic.
I like it. My nephew goes to a university that definitely has brick and ivy covered buildings. It will work perfectly for scrapping those. There are a few papers that I will buy doubles of because I like both sides so much.
I'll definitely get a lot of this line. Next year is his senior year and I know I'll have graduation photos to scrap. This is so much better than the typical black and gold lines.

Honestly, I can't tell if I like this one or not. My first impression was it is too vintage for my kid's school photos... but I have been begging for a school line, any school line, that is not made for elementary or preschoolers. I like some of the b-sides though, and the washi tape sheet is cool. I don't know... I sometimes don't like 49 and Market until I see it in person (or it's on clearance ) so maybe I'll change my mind later.

Looks like this collection is designed by Dennis Bruton. They recently announced this new designer. It definitely has a more masculine feel.

I agree this collection would be ideal for heritage photos (& also would not chose it for current college photos)!

... Anyone familiar with the designer (Dennis Bruton)? As mayceesgranny indicated upthread, the South African designer was introduced on the company's IG a couple days ago HERE. (Note I do not have an IG account & was able to watch.)

A versatile & modern school line with a non-gendered & usable color palette & sentiments is elusive in this industry!

You know I looked at the video they posted on this collection and I like it even more. You can do lots with it. That said, I have never owned any their products yet... I am just getting back into scrapping/junk journaling things. So I want it ALL... but my pocketbook is saying whooooaaa sister slow down. haha
