This is me too. We're flying tomorrow actually, and I will make sure to leave my seatbelt on!

I don’t want to say I always have my seatbelt fastened - I’m sure there have been times I didn’t buckle it up as soon as I came back from the restroom or if I have to reach for something in my bag on the floor. But in general, I do keep it fastened.

I keep my seatbelt on. It doesn’t bother me. I don’t worry when I get up to use the bathroom—the probability of an issue is low anyway.

In my early years of flying I would take it off. Didn't think a thing about it. Somewhere along the lines I changed and keep it on for the most part. I can't even think back when the last time I didn't have it on. I guess I remember there were times where I had a whole row to myself and would spread out to sleep, I'm sure I wasn't strapped in at that point. (Those were the good old days..lol) I'm not super concerned I guess, I just leave it on. Just seems like a safe thing to do.

I'm a nervous flyer, especially when there is turbulence so I always leave my seatbelt on.
I also always sit on the aisle so I can make a quick trip to the bathroom and then quickly back to my seat.

Yes I leave it on unless I get up to go to the restroom. You never know when turbulence can hit.

I leave it on, but it does make me nervous when I need to use the restroom. I always hope I get back to my seat before there is any turbulence. I’ve flown with bad turbulence before. The worst was on approach to Denver. I thought we were going to die. Denver is so bad! I've been terrified by turbulance more than once coming or going to Denver. That's so funny, I believe you about Denver, but I live here and flown out of the airport dozens and dozens of times and never had any turbulence problems. Knock on wood!

I leave it on all the time. My dad traveled a lot of work and when I was younger I remember him telling us about the plane he was on hitting turbulence like that and several people flew up and out of their seats. It stuck with me for sure.

About 15 years ago I was fascinated by that "Air Crash Investigation" show and watched multiple seasons in a row. Some air crashes are caused by clearly major events (bomb, hijackers etc) but it's also crazy how many minor things can bring a plane down...and there's people being sucked out of aircraft when holes open up etc. I don't fly very often, but that show has me much more cautious, if a major thing happens, then probably everyone will die seatbelt or not, but in some cases the seatbelt can be the difference between life or death. I've mostly flown inside Australia and only a few hours at a time, so I've kept my seatbelt on for that length of time, which is very easy to do. I just started watching Air Disasters on the Smithsonian channel. Why I'm watching I don't know but it fascinates me. But I'll be keeping my seatbelt on unless I need to use the restroom.

Always have it on, aside from bathroom breaks.

We’ve just flown from Melbourne via Sydney to Los Angeles, and then a few days later to Calgary. Luckily we didn’t experience and major turbulence. But we kept our seatbelts in the entire time apart from a trip to the bathroom. We may have loosened them slightly but they were still fairly secure.

I leave my seat belt on in a plane because of events like this exactly. This isn’t the first of this kind of event. The airlines here specifically say to leave seat belts on unless getting up to use the rest room. It also keeps you mostly in the plane if the door blows off too. A little added incentive. I know many people don’t, which annoys me because I don’t need them landing on my head during turbulence after they splat on the ceiling. If you’re sitting next to me I’m going to politely remind you to put your seatbelt back on when you get back from the bathroom.
