Confession Time: I have never owned nor even tried a border punch! Are you TRYING to get kicked out of the Peas? LOL. A girl could lose her Pea card over missing a trend.

I do! But I only have 4: scallops, a lacy one, and a notebook one. Sometimes, a border punch is just what I need to add detail without adding bulk.

I don't use mine as often as I should but I really haven't been sb-ing much during the past year. I only have 4 or 5 but I do really like them. One of my favorites is the scallop edge one that Shimelle uses fairly often.

I decided to try and make my own digital border punch. I really love the Bira Royal Petal Deep Edger Border Craft Punch that I already mentioned, so I made one very similar. I'm really happy with how it turned out. I've already used it on a layout. Here's mine:

A large percentage of my scrapbook pages are beach ones. It is a challenge to keep using the punch and make it look different every time. I absolutely adore octopi, though. I have an octopus stamp that comes out from time to time, too. And any scrapbook paper with an octopus is mine. The deer punch is easy to use- I have tons of nature photos and Christmas. I even used it one year to make tags for Christmas presents. I do love a good punch. We have a scrap retreat once a year and I'm the punch lady - people expect me to bring part of my stash for group use. Reading about people's border punches reminded me that I don't have a notebook punch- I don't know how I missed that. Off to see if they still make them... Edit: Holy moly! That punch is $19 at ACOT! Yikes! Amazon doesn't have it, but I saw a shamrock punch that is calling my name.

I rarely USE my border punches but I still purchase them on fb mktplace and a garage sales. I always enjoy the look when I break them out.

I've been using my border punches again lately thanks to SCT's scrapbooking events - a few of the instructors have been using them and it totally got me back in the groove. I have about a half a dozen of them. My main problem with them is how to store them so that I'll actually remember I have them. I'm definitely an out of sight, out of mind person.
