... Why is Back To School so retro? I feel like a broken record, but how many decades ago did students stop using chalkboards? Who's bringing an apple to class? Is every single student a star student? Really?
Why can't we have chromebooks/laptops?
Are there really so many of us that have that many photos of us/our parents/our grandparents attending school that these theme items would be relevant? ... A versatile & modern school line with a non-gendered & usable color palette/sentiments/icons is elusive in this industry!

I will pick up London. I lived in England in the mid-80s and have not scrapped anything from my pre-married life. I spend a ton of weekends in London.
I'm working on making random kits now to scrap various parts of my life. I have no desire to try and scrap chronologically. This will let me do those photos now.

Back to School - love it because it is not for little kids and it isnt bright, primary colors. I will pick up some papers and embellishments as it is DS senior year coming up. Will have a lot to document.
Best In Show - will get a few things for our two dogs. Some of the papers and what not have shih tzus. That is what our male dog is and our female dog is 35% shih tzu. Need some new papers for them both.
London - need nothing
Paris - need nothing. Love the colors though

Personally, I like the mauve color in the Family line. It's different for Echo Park anyway. I think Best in Show is cute. I LOVE the plaids! I will definitely pick up those plaid papers to use for masculine pages and/or cards. The others are a no. Like many have said-I just don't understand why we can't have a more modern, up to date school line? It's kind of ridiculous.
I'll add my two cents to the repetition and overwhelming sameness of all of their collections! IMO, Echo Park is the worst with this! The Christmas and Fall lines in another thread, are pretty much the exact same as the last 10 years of their stuff! Nothing seems new, nothing seems different, and nothing catches my eye. And honestly...WHY do they release SO MANY lines?!?! It's too much. Why are you making me choose between 6 Christmas/Winter collections? How about 2 or 3? I just can't understand how they can really sell much product and make any money, when they are producing so much stuff! Are people really buying all of this? I find it hard to believe between so many of us hating the sameness of it all, and so many of us being on a budget for our spare spending! It's nice to see new lines and new items, but this lacks that newness because of all of the similarity.

I like a LOT of the school line. My grandmother was a teacher from the 1930's- late 1960's, maybe 70's? I wish I had a need for the London and Paris lines. I don't have a pet, so no need for the dog line.
ETA: I missed the family line, but it's a pass, except for maybe the My Life Florals stamp set.

I like a lot of London and the school one. I don't see iconography as necessarily required to depict gritty reality. Doesn't bother me.
The London line made me sort of happy that I haven't scrapbooked much of my London-area photos from a couple of trips there in the past several years. Yay!

Thanks for your responses. Nothing is added to my wish list. EP Family - IMHO this collection should be branded CB, given its cream base & vintage, old-fashioned, floral, etc. aesthetic. CB Back To School - I dislike the faux parchment backgrounds of the papers. CB Best In Show - I like the tone-on-tone dark green plaid on the reverse of Best Friends Breeds Paper. CB London - stereotypical CB Paris - stereotypical

I like the London and Paris lines, but not necessarily the color schemes, especially Paris. Why all the pastels. Blech

I have absolutely nothing against Steven Duncan, he's a great designer, but why are all the CB lines retro?

EP Family - Mostly a pass, but I do like the green color. CB Back to School -I love Steve Duncan's designs and this one is a winner for me. Definitely the sticker sheet, journaling cards, & the lunchbox plaid and B-side of chalkboard pps. CB Best in Show - A nice collection but I don't have a need for it. CB London & Paris - I wish I had a use for the London collection but will probably never get there. And although I'll never get to Paris, I like the colors used. Thanks for the links PaperAngel.
