I've used both pocket pages (trading card pockets are inexpensive and easy to find in particular) and the old photo album pages with the clear plastic you peel back for extra die cuts and leftover bits. They work well, and I mix them together in the same binder/duo-tang. Big pieces go in the pockets, anything small or delicate goes in the sticky page.
The key to any organization system is to pick something that works for how you craft and that you're willing to commit to. It's pointless if it becomes something you never use.

I sorted and organized my chipboard embellishments about a week ago, it took me 2 evenings, about 3 hours each, to get them done. That's the only thing I have organized other than my stickers and 90 percent of them are in Creative Memories zip up binders. The other stuff is just in 2 huge deep drawers, lol....I do need to do a look thru and see what I have.

I made my binder and shared it 5 years ago (that's crazy). I ended up taking concepts from different videos I had seen at the time and settling on what worked for me and what did not. I use mine more for leftover bits and pieces, not new packs of stuff. When I get down to a smaller portion that I think still has some use I add it to the binder. I tend to go to that binder when I am not working matching products and instead mixing my stash. I look at the binder first to see if there is anything I can use up. I also like using the binder to hold print and cuts from traci reed since that doesn't in traditional packaging. youtu.be/84qjpc5R8H0I really like the idea of using the page protectors and a piece of sticker paper. You're right, the wax paper separates too easily from the cardstock. I'm constantly re-glueing. Thanks for linking your video!

There was a similar thread a while back and I liked the idea. I used a 2” binder and page protectors. I spent several evenings cutting stickers off the sheets and sorting them along with ephemera. I sort by type—words, flowers, etc. I use temporary glue and attach them to a sheet of paper, then slide it into my binder. I love that I can go the binder and see everything without having to go through baggies of stuff.

I'm wondering why anyone who wants to store stickers doesn't buy a sticker album. They used to be a common thing that most kids had; specially coated pages designed for just the right amount of adhesion. Pretty sure I still have three or four kicking around downstairs on the bookshelves.

If you look at Colie's video, I thought it was a clever idea to recycle a piece of sticker paper to an area where it's needed. I don't think I would need a whole sticker book because I mix die cut ephemera and stickers in my composition notebooks.

No, I don’t organize my ephemera. I keep them in their packages all together, or combine a few of the same package (usually florals) into a plastic envelope.
I do, however, have 6x8 Snap albums to organize my stamp sets and stencils. If I have room, I may eventually do the same with my metal dies.

I store my ephemera with the collection. When the collection has run it's course, I put the remaining pieces I think I might use in this old K & Co. box which I'll sort through when I'm making a project. The box is cool in that there's two sides so I have words & phrases on one side and icons on the other. It's not otherwise sorted. I tried so many different ways of sorting and storing all the things and finally landed on keeping it as simple as possible for my work flow process.

Sticker albums are still around in the planner community, I think, but I've never seen any scrapbookers talk about using them. I never had one as a kid. I would've loved one if I knew they existed! I loved stickers but not committing to sticking them on things.

I loved collecting stickers as a child, but also didn't want to put them on random stuff - so they all went into albums, and were traded with friends or just admired. While it won't work as well for mixed ephemera, do check out a reusable sticker album if you want something specifically to organize your stickers in. They're not even expensive or difficult to find. There used to be a steady stream of themed books for sale anywhere you could pick up stickers, which really was only the cover. The inside pages were white.

I have so much ephemera. I have put whole lines of ephemera on a 12 x 12 piece of white cardstock (back and front) and keep it in 12.5 x 12.5 plastic sleeves. It isn't great since I forget to look through it. I can see the benefit of having it in a book. Easier to grab and look. I might try to just pick my current favorite manufacturer and do it with that ephemera. I love the idea of it, but will I use it? View AttachmentI do this for the embellishment packs that come with collections, but I put the 12x12 paper inside a page protector and store it with the collection, that way I don't forget that I have it. Other embellishments that don't come with collections or are leftovers are stored in a small cabinet with drawers (kind of like a file cabinet). I use album covers to store the collections in and the page protector slides in with the rest of the collection easily. I used to use the notebooks/binders, but man those were a PITA for me. I forgot to look for them, the notebooks got too cumbersome to handle, etc. I think we just need to experiment to see what works best for each of us. I know I have a lot of $$$ lost in all my experimenting to see what storage works best for me.

I forget to look for stuff elsewhere, but I do have a system for more bulky ephemera and put colored circle stickers on the paper baggie in yellow, red, blue and green. If I see a green sticker, I know I have matching stickers, yellow stamps/does, etc for washi and other items. Now my really pretty and detailed ephemera I do keep with the line because it really won't go with other lines. I loved the idea of a notebook, but like you, it didn't work. I also tried those magnetic albums from the 70s and they worked reasonable well, but way too bulky.

I thought it was a great idea so I did exactly that. It didn't work for me. I like auditioning my embellishments, so I was soon taking half the items off their pages. Yes, I did put them back one at a time at first - but you don't after a while, believe me. 😂
Also, if you only stick your embellishments at random, it takes forever to find what you're looking for. Yet, if you do organise them (themes, colors, etc.), it becomes a mess because you can't follow through (at least in books. Maybe it's different with sticky pages.) I was frustrated I couldn't reorganize whenever I felt like it, too.
Just my experience. 😊

I have tried this in the past and really discovered it doesn’t work for me.
I like a pile of die cuts to rifle through. So I sort in plastic photo organizers by theme/ feeling that makes sense to me.

I had mine in 4x6 photos containers sorted by colour and never used them I have put them into one of those old fashioned sticky photo albums and I like it much better

I did and love it. I use repositionable adhesive and a spiral book I got on clearance at Michaels ( so kinda nicer, thicker paper)

I ended up undoing 80% of the ephemera I stored like this. I just didn't look for it. I thought it sounded perfect for me. I think keeping the sticker sheets with the line is important. I really don't scrap by color or really theme when it comes to ephemera. I do take my packaged ephemera and put it on 12 x 12 pieces of thick cardstock and keep it with the lines. If I have bulky pieces or more random ephemera, I keep it in labeled trays for that theme.

I just now looked online for sticker books but none of them would work for me. They tend to be spiral bound or have permanent pages. My embellishments are organized by theme so I need to be able to add or remove pages. I just use a temporary adhesive on paper and place them in a page protector. Then can put them into their proper category.

I have my embellishments stored by color. I updated the system about a year ago. I have a video on my channel with how I store them. My Updated Embellishment Book youtu.be/GDFNNc1HRcE

Ginger of Ginger’s Corner Facebook Page does this. She uses binders with pockets.
It does look easier to find what you want quickly.
I’m still on the fence as to whether or not I want to sort my ephemera this way.

I keep mine as they are sent until I’ve used about half, then I have a folder with card/coin pocket pages that I slip the leftovers into. When doing a layout part of my process is to check the folder to see if I have anything that I can use on a page as a bit of extra interest, I have a good memory of what I have in the folder though which helps. Helped me get rid of so much packaging and using the random stickers left from a collection that weren’t as on theme as the others. I LOVE this system

😍 It's like a grown-up sticker album. Those pictures of flowers and butterflies and labels....... I could just sit and organize ephemera like this as a hobby unto itself. LOL
