I'm alone on this board in loving Beyonce, but, I really like her even more after watching a documentary about her that she participated in. It made her very human as she covered her career, her pregnancy loss, and what drives her. There are many! I like Beyonce! I'll have to look out for that documentary. It's been several years ago, but it really showed a very human side to her. I think she's genuine and a strong woman but she's not always strong on the inside, which resonated with me. 🩷 |

I was never a Spice Girls fan, never a soccer fan, and I don't think he's swoon-worthy handsome, but I do like David Beckham.
I like how he's always been affectionate with his children. He posts videos about his gardening and his chickens on IG. He seems happy and it's nice to see someone mega wealthy who just enjoys his life.
I LOVE Catherine, Princess of Wales. I've always watched the 'big' Royal events, like weddings, but never really cared about any of them the rest of the time, but Catherine I love all the time. Again, another famous person who isn't miserable the whole time like so many of them are (looking at a certain BIL & his wife!). We all know royal life comes with lots of perks, but also lots of boring events and hand shaking, standing around etc. but Catherine seems to have found a way to actually enjoy those appearances. She seems genuinely happy a lot of the time, happy with her life, happily married and happy being a mother. Watching her makes me feel good.
Trixie Mattel - drag queen, probably the most saucerful person to come out of Drag Race. I like her as Trixie but also as her male self. He grew up in a trailer, had an abusive step-father but worked hard to get where he is now. He's got 4 or 5 TV shows, a YouTube channel, a doll, and a motel in Palm Springs. Another person who's made the best of his life, positive, funny, handworker, but still humble.

Tina Fey is so smart and funny. Sharon Horgan, too. Stevie Nicks' and Carly Simon's music has been part of my life forever. They're a bit older than I am, but still killing it even after all they've been through. I listened to Carly Simon's audiobook biography and with her narration, it sounded like she was talking directly to me.
William and Kate are adorable...am I right? They're so sweet together.

p!nk trevor noah jason mraz james taylor valerie bertinelli betty white Pre Covid I was at a Sara Bareilles concert. Jason and his band were in the row before us. He was genuinely nice! People were stopping by the row and asking for photos, etc. He was nice to everyone who stopped and talked to them. He was in the chair right in front of me so during the intermission I leaned forward and asked him why he wasn't up there singing (he was in Waitress with Sara on Broadway for a stint). We talked for about 5 minutes. I never asked him for a photo or autograph - he asked me at one point if I wanted one. I told him no that just talking to him was enough. He thanked me - lol. At the end of the concert he waited for my friend and I and gave us a hug goodbye. He became one on of my favorite people after that night. |

Lately I've been listening to Unlonely over and over and over again. The lyrics and the beat -  . I could say the same about most of his music. Love, love, love!! I have had tix to see him 4 times. First two times at the Santa Barbara Bowl. First time I had purchased 4 tix to take some friends along with me. I got sick and couldn't go... Second time, I was sick as a dog with debilitating allergies and, while I would have dragged myself there for some healing music, I totally spaced and missed the date. Watched the 11 o'clock news and there was a bit about how wonderful that night's concert had been! Then DH surprised me with tix to see him at the Hollywood Bowl. We went and it was FANTASTIC! Last year DH and I were both up on our feet for the entire concert, here in SB. Love his band and especially his female guitarist. I can't remember her name, possibly Molly something. I remember he said she's a prof in the music department at USC or UCLA. I really believe in the uplifting and even more, healing power, of music! Thanks so much for sharing!!! |

Jimmy Barnes, who is the lead singer from my favourite band in the 80s was a hard drinking drug taking rock star who is probably lucky to have survived that era! These days he is always posting about how much he loves his wife and family, shows the meals he is cooking and the flowers he is planting, his grandkids when they visit etc etc. What a change in lifestyle! I adore him. The band is doing a reunion tour in November, I can't wait! Some others that have already been mentioned: Dolly Parton, Tom Hanks, Henry Winkler, Ryan Reynolds, Nicola Walker, Dave Grohl Some others: Asher Keddie, Rebecca Gibney, Jodie Whittaker, Hugh Jackman, Margot Robbie, Jennifer Lawrence, Morgan Freeman, Cate Blanchett, Samuel Johnson, Isla Fisher, Jodie Foster, David Attenborough, David Tennant.
