CHOCOLATE CROISSANT BREAD PUDDING Adapted from a Marion Cunningham bread pudding recipe, when the local tea room wouldn’t give me the recipe for theirs. It’s almost as good as the tea room version. MC says it’s important to take it out of the oven while it is still “trembling” so it will be tender and soft rather than firm and dry. 3 eggs 1/2 cup sugar 1/8 tsp salt 2.5 cups whole milk 1.5 tsp vanilla 3-4 oz bittersweet chocolate, broken (dark chocolate is fine, too) 3 croissants, cut in 1” cubes (about 6 oz total) Preheat oven to 350F. In a mixing bowl, stir together the eggs, sugar, and salt. Put the milk in a saucepan and heat over medium-high heat until scalded (tiny bubbles form). Remove the milk from the heat and slowly add the egg mixture, stirring constantly. Stir in the vanilla. Place the croissant pieces in a buttered 11x7” baking dish (or whatever similar size you have that works) and mix in the chocolate pieces. Pour the milk mixture over. Add boiling water to the bottom of a 9x13” baking dish and put it in the oven. Carefully place the 11x7” dish into the 9x13”, making sure the boiling water comes about halfway up the sides. Bake about 20-30 minutes, or until the custard is barely set. Serve warm, with cream (whipped or not). I Wish I could like this 10 times instead of only once!! Thank you!!!

So I got rid of all of my dark roots this morning! Yay! My hairstylist is so awesome ... she always makes me keep my hair down on the day I get it done ... otherwise it is in a ponytail! Here are the results:

@stormst and taylortroop maybe the same system came through your areas. I’m looking out our back window at a newly dead tree across the creek that should be taken care of but what do I know. I finished my watercolor workshop. I sort of finished 2 pieces. Posting images seems strange wanting my credit card so I’m not able to post them. The instructor said I’m the most patient painter. I’m actually just slow. The paper making workshop I really wanted to do was going on next to us but I never saw any of their projects. Dh is golfing so I had shrimp scampi with a baked potato and broccoli. This weekend is the bridal shower we’re giving my nephew’s fiancée. I have a few things to do still. Love your hair leannec. You have good skin too.

Those glasses are just the cutest!! leannec Are those the same ones that I was crazy about another time you posted a pic? I think those were my other pair ... they are similar ... both are dark frames ... they look better on me ... Love your hair leannec. You have good skin too. Thanks! My skin is simply genetic ... I don't do anything special ... stay out of the sun I guess but that's only because I don't like being outside! I'm 57 so I assume the wrinkles will come in soon!
