I think that these overnight coffee makers are an American thing, I don’t know anyone who has one.
I have a barista coffee machine that has a built in bean grinder, so whenever I want a coffee (usually a cappucino) I make it with freshly ground beans. It’s my pride and joy. 😆

I try to set it up the night before, even in the summer when DH and I are both off. I just like having the coffee ready for us when we are ready to drink it.

I never drink coffee. I've had the same coffee maker for 20+ years, and I store it in its box in a closet except for when I'm having people over. I guess that's one more "normal at my house" things, LOL! I will, say, though, that it is extremely unlike me to leave a small appliance plugged in unattended, even if it's meant to be. I will leave a crockpot on, and I leave the microwave plugged in---most of the time (but not always). But unless in use, things like coffee makers, toasters, toaster ovens, electric kettles, etc., I always keep unplugged. So I very, very much doubt I would go to bed with a coffee maker plugged in. We'd make good kitchen roommates. My entire kitchen counter has not one appliance on it. The microwave has its own shelf in the cabinets.

DH gets up a bit before I do and makes it in the morning, so I never have to wait. When he goes on a golfing weekend, I set it up the night before, so I don't have to wait. I really don't like to wait for my morning coffee!

I set it up the night before. Push the button in the morning. We’re up really early and I like my coffee right away.

I grind the beans the night before and add the water, then set it to automatically brew the next morning. The timer is already set so I always have coffee when I wake up (except if the power goes out).
ETA: Also my household (including the cats, LOL) is much more tolerant of the sound of me grinding the coffee beans in the evening vs. early morning!

Dh is the only coffee drinker. He sets up tomorrow’s coffee in the mid morning after he’s drank his morning cup.

I love when past me has filled the coffee maker the night before. Present me usually forgets... When I'm doing the last bits of clean up at nine or so at night, I always remind myself that future me will really appreciate now me not leaving a dang mess to deal with during the morning rush.

If I go into downtown, I prep the night before. If I work from home, I do it all in the morning.

I make my first latte first thing in the morning. We've just come back from the US/Canada and struggled with the coffee there. I think we are a little spoilt here in Melbourne.
