Honestly, if it was me, I would lean into it. Since it doesn’t have windows, go moody. If you’re considering a color, go dark… think very dark black or green or blue. I needed to lighten up our space, as it was painted a dark clay color. It was too brown for me and I love the SH Softened Green that I finally chose. But I was really tempted to go with Clary Sage, which is one color up on the palette. I think I'm going to paint the kitchen island that color, or maybe even Green Onyx, one more color up. I found the Sherwin Williams website really helpful. The colors are listed with 6-7 other colors in lighter and darker values, along with their light reflective value and red/green/blue balance. They show the color in 4 different spaces and then you can also see the color at night. This really helped me narrow down the sage green that I chose for the spaces. But you really need to see them on the wall!

Just decide between a cool white and a warm white and go from there. Is your floor warm or cool?
I'm not a fan of painting the walls white, however. I've lived in too many apartments in my life. Now that I can use color, I definitely use color.

Well these are the three choices we ended up with. I decided on the top one.. Halation… all the whites I chose were horrible next to the flooring. Couldn’t find one that I loved or better yet one that would go with the floor. This ended up in the grey category… I love it.
