I haven’t seen anything to indicate that their IT moved to England. Where/how did you learn that? Why would they? Did they sell the company? The young man who came to help me after I banged on their locked doors at the Lindon office told me. He said that not much happens there right now and that the IT department has been sent to England. That seems very, very odd to do that, especially since it seems to have been a disaster, but thanks for telling us where you learned it. So strange. If they didn’t sell the company, it was a supremely stupid move, since the new IT doesn’t seem able to do what is needed. They are still having issues. However, when I was on very, very late last night, the Silhouette site was faster. Not fast, but at least not as bad as it has been.

So fingers crossed they are getting the bugs out finally?

I just updated my Design Studio a second time yesterday (despite the warnings in forums). None of my latest purchases will download. My recent downloads amount remains the same as before the system changes. I’ve probably bought 30 files or so. I have searched for the individual Silhouette number of a new purchase in the library to no avail. So much for the really helpful newest update! This is a total fiasco and so frustrating! I’m a long time subscriber but I may cancel. I’ve been planning on getting a Cameo 5 but I’m even second guessing making that purchase.

I bought a ghost shape and while it shows in my online library (on the website) it isn't actually in my library in the design space.

mom and tinksmommy , part of the current issue is that you have to download each file individually and save it to your computer. It doesn’t do that automatically as an entire zipped file like it used to. Once you have them downloaded to your computer, you can open each one individually in the software. However…. Some much older files do NOT open in the software. The older gst files, which used to open in the software are no longer recognized by the current and more recent versions of the software. I recently bought some older files, because I needed vintage games for a swap. They don’t open, and I wasn’t happy that I wasted credits on them. Having to do manually what used to happen automatically is a definite annoyance and pain, on top of all the other frustrations. I still wonder if the company changed hands. If so that might explain why no one seems able to fix this mess.

I have to do that for my fancy zip fonts but to do it for every file is inconvenient. Off to give that a try……🥴 updated to add: that was not fun but at least I can use the new files until the mess gets figured out. I may just use up my credits and look elsewhere for cutfiles. Maybe “Cut to You” or something else.

I’m glad you were able to access your purchased files. For anyone still having issues accessing designs you bought but aren’t showing up, here is a link to the media statement that explains what is going on (sort of) and how to access your files: Silhouette Media Statement

I just got an email from Silhouette offering 20% off to upgrade the software. The timing is so bad it's laughable. I can't imagine risking that right now. The site wasn't even up and running last night. Maybe wait until everything is running smoothly?
