My kids went to school and played soccer with Butch Reynolds’s daughter. he helped coach the track team too.
My friend used to be married to an Olympic coach. He left her for another coach so I won’t name the sport. They’re still coaching.
Interestingly none of their children ever tried the sport he coaches.

My yoga teacher medaled in water polo. The only reason I even knew was because she had a tattoo of the Olympic Rings on her foot. She was a fantastic teacher. I don't have any tattoos and don't think I ever will, but I totally would have Olympic rings if I had ever qualified! |

1984. We waited and waited to see the torch in Newport Beach, CA. Finally had to leave. The next morning on my way to work I was sitting at a red light. Light turns green. Before I could go, motorcycle cop stops in intersection and stops traffic in all directions. And just like that, the Olympic torch passed within 3 feet of my car.

My son graduated high school with a girl that is heading into her 3rd Para Olympics for track and field.

A lady I go to scrap camp with, her son represents (and wins) in swimming - for the Para-Olympics

I worked with someone who went to the Olympics for ski jumping.

A classmate of mine briefly dated Jennifer Capriati before the 92 Olympics.
One of the coaches at my daughter’s fencing club was an athlete for the Egyptian fencing team.
I’ve met Jeff Galloway several times and I use his training plans for running.
