Honestly, Vance is one of the best things that could have happened for the Democrats. He’s alienating moderate women with almost every word out of his mouth, but if Trump drops him, he risks pissing off the part of his base that agrees with Vance (the actual deplorables IMO).
My sign might just say, “Keep talking, JD!”

Thank you for all the suggestions! Keep them coming! I will continue to watch for catch phrases that Kamala's campaign utilizes.
I'm not sure how to use multiple quotes, so I'm responding to a couple posts like this: "Do you think you will get in? How would that work? I didn't think they let protestors in, or would you be like the whistle lady outside the courthouse?" My plan is to stand outside and be present in a respectful manner. I don't think I'll change any minds, but Trump and his cronies have garnered so much attention without being challenged. Hopefully I will be a part of a large group that shows up and reclaims the energy and excitement that was around when Obama was running.
"I am woman and I vote." The Nevada Democrats' site has t-shirts for sale that say, "Elect More Women." I like this theme. Although Trump and company "go low" on a daily basis, I don't think we're at a point where we have to go there with them. Kamala has brought a level of intellect and fierceness to the campaign.
I've noticed that I refer to the men by their last names (Trump, Obama), but I referenced Kamala by her first name. Is this sexist? Should she be referred to as "Harris" instead? Is this observation important or trivial? Hmmm....

Anyone that spreads that story makes themselves sound like a complete idiot who believes anything they read on the internet. I’ve read the book and actually have it here and this claim just reeks of desperation. Yes, I am a staunch democrat , but let’s use logic and truth to defeat them, not sound like we are so dumb as to believe this bullshit! Supposedly earlier editions of the book does have that passage....

The rumor: JD Vance, Republican Senator from Ohio and running mate of Donald Trump, wrote about having sex with a couch in his memoir “Hillbilly Elegy”. Fact-checking results: FALSE
Snopes investigated this claim and found no evidence to support it. The rumor appears to have originated from a single user on Reddit, who posted a fabricated account of Vance’s alleged behavior. Despite this, the claim spread online, with some users sharing and embellishing the story. AP’s fact-checking attempt: Initially, the Associated Press (AP) published a fact-check article titled “No, JD Vance did not have sex with a couch”, debunking the rumor. However, the article was later removed due to not having gone through the AP’s standard editing process. Aftermath: The incident sparked ridicule and criticism towards the AP for giving the fake claim any attention, and for deleting the article. Some commentators questioned the decision to publish the fact-check in the first place, arguing it only served to amplify the rumor. In conclusion, there is no truth to the claim that JD Vance wrote about having sex with a couch in his memoir. The rumor is baseless and has been thoroughly debunked by Snopes.
You'll make yourself look like an asshole and an idiot if you proceed.

I know there is a local democrat/progressive Facebook group that is trying to get a group together to show that Minnesota is not up for the taking (to turn red). Maybe there are others in your area doing the same?

But our current whole situation proves that DOES NOT WORK. Snappy and funny reinforces in people's minds that he's a joke candidate (albeit not a funny one), and I'm here for it. They take cheap shots all day and that's all they understand. Sometimes, you have to speak the other guy's language to communicate to them.

Is this observation important or trivial? Hmmm.... I think of it as being like Beyonce, Adele, Cher, Rhianna...queens of all things who don't need a last name. OK, Charo, too, so my idea has a flaw. I'm of two minds about this. First of all, no, I don't think it's trivial, and at the risk of sounding hypocritical, for women I think it's for the most part not sexist - it's because she feels like one of our girls - more familiar, like a friend. However, I would contend when men do it, it is for the most part sexist, even if not intentionally so, because it denotes less respect, either because she's a woman or a POC or both. Now, whether we should continue calling her Kamala rather than Harris, given that it is at the very least not treating everyone the same . . . I think maybe we should. Because I think to some people her name feels like marbles in their mouths and they're awkward/embarrassed at not being comfortable pronouncing it correctly, or it feels foreign, or they're just not familiar/used to it enough to say it the right way. And, the more we help make her feel accessible, familiar, friendly, comfortable to people - that can only help. If for some reason she seemed like an unserious candidate - like maybe if she'd never held offices and only had a reputation for running businesses into bankruptcy and not paying their bills - then I'd say nope, Harris is the way to go to give her more gravitas. But I think (hope!) she has that covered all by herself.

coaliesquirrel I am making the effort to call her Harris. Sometime I miss, but I slso did sometimes called Biden, Joe. I do get the idea when some Men do it is very disrespectful, and many choose that path. I am so glad the young people are calling her Kamala, which seems to make them feel closer and that is a good thing.

Like everyone else has said, the couch-fucking story is false.
But I’m really enjoying the internet-at-large having fun with it at Vance’s expense.
COMEDY GOLD!
To answer the OP, my choice would be a simple cutout picture of a couch.

Apparently it was in first printing and then removed. His editor and publisher should have advised him before first printing went out. Page 180 of first printing of Vance's book.... Page 180 of first printing of Vance's book.... yep, it's been scrubbed in subsequent printings. It is not true. It was not in a first edition or a galley copy. What did happen was someone, as satire, edited a pirated copy of the e-book to make it look like it was in there. So nope. We are better than that, we can fact check and not stoop to the lows that Donald Trump's group is doing. Not saying that it's not kinda funny! My favorite satire was that Trump introduced him at a rally in Michigan as JD Wentworth. LOL I was really sad to find out it wasn't true. Fiction is much funnier than fact.
