Between yesterday and today I have learned why Section 60 is a more sensitive area within ANC. It holds the remains of the most recent members of our Armed Forces, from Iraq and Afghanistan. The majority are young women and young men who in general have most of their families still living. Their children, brothers and sisters, parents and grandparents, which is not the case with older sections in the Cemetery. Their grief is more recent and raw and Arlington National Cemetery attempts to protect them all. About 3000 memorial/events are held at ANC and there has never been a disruption of any sort

Someone just posted on a local FB group that TFG just announced that the government will pay for or he will mandate that insurance covers all costs associated with IVF treatments. It’s tens of thousands per cycle. No way. While I am sympathetic and would love to see costs reduced I don’t think anyone else should have to cover that. I know people that have gone through it and we were one last cycle away before going that route ourselves. Of course I don’t think this would actually happen he is just trying to buy votes. He will say anything at this point as he has to win or go to jail. This will go the same way as his lowered prescription drugs, infrastructure, Mexico paying for the wall and bringing back manufacturing. I just feel bad for those that get their hopes up. This is such an emotional issue. It often takes many cycles and is so heartbreaking so often.

I ventured onto X for the first time in months today and the level of disinformation on there is truly terrifying.
I'm on a prepping group here in the UK and it's started to get bogged down with completely unsubstantiated nonsense. The lack of employment of critical thinking skills is really depressing. I've learnt you can't use facts to try to educate, because so many now would rather believe wild theories than look at actual facts, which they automatically see as 'fake'.
Where will it all end?

Particularly when they are so quick to criticize,!! Sen. Tommy Cotton knows better, but he has no issue stating that TFG did nothing wrong. He did and it is well documented. No one had said that the families or TFG should not have been there. The families, of course, can invite people. But they and their guests do not have the right to abuse the privilege of being there.
