He was eligible for retirement after 24 years and submitted his retirement paperwork before his unit received orders (or even warning orders) to deploy and then he continued his service as a member of congress. If they needed him to stay in his unit there is a mechanism called, “stop-loss.” Look it up. As a corporal with 4yrs of service, I highly doubt the USMC, “asked,” you to go to Iraq. They most likely, “ordered” you to go to Iraq and had you refused, you would have been thrown in the brig. Release your military record to prove the USMC, “asked” you to go. “Raise your hand if you want to go to Iraq.” It’s laughable to those of us who have served. If you win, you are next in line to be Commander in Chief and need to earn the respect of all who serve, and this is not how you do it.

On Friday morning, the former president's Truth Social platform was deluged with complaints about campaign managers Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles with #DumpLaCivita and #DumpWiles becoming top topics.

The revolt was likely begun by far-right extremist Nick Fuentes who wrote on X late Thursday night, "Tonight I declared a new Groyper War against the Trump campaign. We support Trump, but his campaign has been hijacked by the same consultants, lobbyists, & donors that he defeated in 2016, and they're blowing it. Without serious changes we are headed for a catastrophic loss."

He later added, "This is NOT a purity spiral, this is about living up to the AMERICA FIRST credo put forth by Trump in 2016 which will ensure VICTORY in 2024. On Monday I will present a detailed statement of the facts, a mission statement, and a plan of action on my Rumble channel. STAY TUNED."

What was meant to be a weeklong trip to the International Space Station (ISS) for the first NASA astronauts to fly with Boeing could extend to eight months, with the agency considering bringing them home on a SpaceX spaceship.

A final decision on whether to persist with Boeing's troubled Starliner -- which experienced worrying propulsion issues as it flew up to the orbital platform in June -- is expected later this month, officials said Wednesday in a call with reporters.

Detailed planning is already underway with Boeing's rival SpaceX, owned by Elon Musk, to potentially launch their scheduled Crew-9 mission on September 24 with just two astronauts rather than the usual four.

The Crew Dragon capsule would then be able to return to Earth with Starliner's crew of Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams in February 2025 -- in what would amount to a major embarrassment for aerospace giant Boeing.

In this scenario, Starliner would fly back without crew before Crew-9 launches.

The Trump helicopter saga continued late Friday after a California politician came forward and said it was he — not former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown — who was actually in a helicopter with former President Donald Trump that nearly went down in 1990.Brown, now 90, told The New York Times he never rode in a helicopter with Trump, and said he'd never nearly died during a helicopter flight.

"And Willie was — he was a little concerned,” Trump said. “So I know him, but I know him pretty well. I mean, I haven’t seen him in years. But he told me terrible things about her. But this is what you’re telling me, anyway, I guess. But he had a big part in what happened with Kamala. But he — he, I don’t know, maybe he’s changed his tune. But he — he was not a fan of hers very much, at that point.”

Brown, now 90, told The New York Times he never rode in a helicopter with Trump, and said he'd never nearly died during a helicopter flight.

Late Friday, Nate Holden, a former city councilman and state senator from Los Angeles, came forward and told Politico he was actually in the helicopter that nearly crashed.

“Willie is the short Black guy living in San Francisco,” Holden said, now 95. “I’m a tall Black guy living in Los Angeles.

“I guess we all look alike,” Holden said with a laugh, according to the outlet.

Trump doubled down Friday, however, and even threatened to sue the Times over its reporting.

Leaders of Students for Trump more issues/lies..


Ryan Fournier, the co-founder of Students for Trump, found himself swiftly corrected on Friday after he falsely claimed the conservative Washington Examiner had reported something about Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz that they patently had not.

"BREAKING: Washington Examiner is reporting that Walz may drop his VP bid amidst all of the controversy surrounding him," Fournier posted to X. "The Harris Campaign is a s---show."

But Ramsey Touchberry, a reporter for the Examiner, was quick to respond, posting, "No, we aren't."

Fournier has faced extensive controversy in the past. Last year, he was criminally charged for allegedly pistol-whipping a woman believed to be his girlfriend, although those charges were shortly dropped.

A few years prior to that, John Lambert, another leading figure in Students for Trump, was sentenced to 13 months for a scam in which he impersonated a lawyer.

I literally saw a man today with a tshirt on that said I support Trump because he pisses off the people I don’t like.

I find that to be the saddest statement. Both about the man and about our country.

At issue, according to the Times' Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan, was Trump accusing billionaire supporter Miriam Adelson, the widow of the casino magnate Sheldon Adelson, of allowing the PAC she has funded with millions of dollars, Preserve America, to be run by "Republicans in Name Only," also known as RINOs.

As the report notes, the former president instructed aide Natalie Harp to "fire off a series of angry text messages to Mrs. Adelson in Mr. Trump’s name," according to three sources who claim those messages left his wealthy benefactor "stunned."

"The texts were particularly jarring because Mrs. Adelson and Mr. Trump had a friendly meeting just a week earlier at the Republican National Convention, according to a person briefed on the matter," the report notes before adding that Trump was manipulated into attacking Adelson by another donor, Ike Perlmutter, who "had hoped in vain that Mrs. Adelson would contribute to a rival super PAC that he backs."

The Times is reporting, "The text messages prompted concerns — as yet unrealized — that Mrs. Adelson might scale back her support of Mr. Trump."
