I am wondering if Elif Sahin will have a Christmas collection this year. I purchased her physical and digital kit last year, and it was gorgeous--very clean and elegant. I bought it on a whim because I was temporarily disabled with a neck injury, but if she offers something this year, I may consider it. Definitely reach out to her through social media or her website. From past experience, she responds quite quickly. ☺️ Her designs and paper quality are Gorgeous. I did also buy her physical and digitals last year. I did not use them as much as I thought I would, but I do think what I used they paired well with the items I put in my album from Ali’s collection last year. I saw the Halloween kit and I would guess she will do Christmas again given the effort to make a Halloween kit . I am ready to see what she comes up with. I think it was October last year that she released it??

Last year, I bought her kit in October, and it came right away.

I could only sleep sitting up at the time, so the only thing I could do is be online. What a difference a year makes. I did use quite a bit of her products. I didn't purchase Ali's main kit last year, just got the digitals plus the specialty papers, so I appreciated the physical products. I hated cutting up the beautiful traveler's notebook, but at least I did use several of the pages. I was very pleased with the quality of the pocket cards. I need to remember to use the stamp a little more, which is always the case with me.

OK - Another Dec Daily sub-topic. I have been thinking about products I buy that are not consumables, i.e. stamps and dies in particular, and how I can “shop” my stash for Dec Daily 2024. A few examples: I have a cute little Heidi Swapp shopping bag die that I plan to use to cut out lots of little shopping bags out of Christmas paper and making a page about Christmas shopping.
I am planning to go through my stuff while thinking about particular themes and page topics and seeing what I can reuse/repurpose in a Christmas-y way.
Anyone else done this before? I tend to just buy and use Christmas specific items for DD.

Last day for the DD boxing period! Anyone else ready to get this show on the road and finally get their stuff? 100%. It is easier to start playing and planning with everything in my hands:). The only problem with today is the risk of last minute purchasing .

A lot of stamp sets have generic shapes and/or sentiments that work great for DD. So many autumn stamp sets are about gathering, staying cosy, togetherness. I've used summer stamp sets that say things like "feeling hot hot hot" when documenting food coming out of the oven or cookies cooling on the rack for DD. Once you start using washi tape to mask little bits off, a whole new wold of stamp versatility opens up. Repurposing and adapting things you already have is creative fun in itself. 👍

Good luck not throwing FOMO items in your box today!! So far I added a pack of 2x2 page protectors- I didn’t realize I was out so I’m glad I looked.

I'VE JUST FINISHED LAST YEAR'S DD ALBUM!
Not only done, but it looks quite good too! I have put that glass drinks canister thing with trees on into my DD box as a present to celebrate. Slightly miffed that the 10x8 transparencies have sold out, I used quite a few of last year's in the album just finished. Oh well. Now someone take my laptop away from me before I buy the advent calendar.

I tend to just buy and use Christmas specific items for DD. I shop my stash for almost every project. I've already started gathering things that I had in my stash that I know I'd like to use, and put it all in a tray. Then once I get my DD order, I merge the stuff and make a list of how I plan on using it. Already on my tray is - ribbon I had, buttons in colors that will coordinate with AE DD offerings and some tags that I bought after Christmas last year that would work in DD. I will say that I keep all my holiday stamps + dies in a basket and when Christmas rolls around, I keep the basket within reach so I am more likely to grab it.

I outgrew my Christmas stamp container so I really need to get a basket and keep it all together for easier access. I may need to create an Index to keep track of what I have bc I bought a ton the last few years. OK - I am reviewing all of the idea posts from the past month and deciding on my final add to box items

Last day for the DD boxing period! Anyone else ready to get this show on the road and finally get their stuff? Yes...but, I'm not ready for the millions of "my box has shipped/arrived/not shipped" Facebook posts... I went through my 6x8 page protectors yesterday and realized I need to order some styles, but I'm also debating on the This+This+ class and maybe the 4x6 album.

Did some preemptive album setting up for 2025 (I know it’s early but you’ve gotta go where the muse takes you sometimes) and as a result needed to add quite a few page protector styles into my dd box. Now that is done I’m ready to get the stash and start playing! I’ll have two major projects going at almost the same time this year (travel albums and dd) so I want to get some prep pages done and get organised.

I caved and added the Large Vellum Pieces. I initially thought I could recreate a couple if I saw an idea using them. But the heart with "christmas magic" kept jumping out at me.
Still thinking on the Wooden Stars...
I *was* going to buy the Polka Dot 10x8 album, but I have 3 albums in my box, I think I'm set!

I added one more stamp set. I really like the alphas are awesome sets and added the matching uppercase to the first set. I need to walk away and just let my box close.

I caved on the wood stars on Sunday. While watching the Chiefs game I decided I could use some red and white ones for them. LOL. That pushed me over the edge.

I just picked up the wood stars, too. They are such a standard shape for me, and I've been checking them out during the entire boxing period. I am officially done!

I kept humming and hawing, so I added the stars too. I probably would have some regret tomorrow if I didn't.

Just put in one more final order. Can’t bring myself to spend $45 on advent calendar even tho it’s super cute, but I did get the stars (enabled by this board!), 3x8 pack enabled by Pam’s blog post, and the 6x8 transparencies bc I have almost none left from last years and I know I will use them.
DONE DONE DONE

I decided on the large thin number stamp as I don’t have any like that and I really wanted them. Done here too finally. Damn boxing period. 🤣

I tend to just buy and use Christmas specific items for DD. This is why I recently embarked on what I know is going to be a very time and labour intensive process of cataloguing my non-consumable supplies. I'm using Airtable. I want to be able to quickly and easily see, scan and search through all of my supplies to find what I want and/or to find inspiration. For so long I've had everything organised either by theme but there is so much crossover that I know I am missing out on making the most of what I have. And I'm wasting so much time searching through all of the physical packages everytime I want to find something specific.

It doesn't look like there is going to be a Christmas / December product suite from Studio Calico this year. Just a few new stamps. The same as for Halloween. I can't say that I particularly liked their offering from last year. But it's sad / concerning to see the options continue to shrink each year.

My DD box has SHIPPED! It will be here Friday, according to the tracking.
I'm in the US, and usually get my box mid-to-late October. This is the earliest ever, I think!
Holy cow!

This is exciting. I always ship late. I am pretty sure this is my largest order of all time. - YIKES! I just looked and mine says active which is when I also realized just how many separate orders I had. I did use a gift card for the stamps this year . OK, I am excited to be on shipping notice watch here. Y’all keep us updated as your items ship! I am also curious tomorrow to see the updated DD shop and see what has sold out.
