mostly. i think we are within 5 minutes of being ready and most of that time would be devoted to straightening up the bathrooms.

Yes, mostly but really depends on who the company is!

I could get the public areas so I’m not mortified within an hour most days. But it’s often a mess and I hate it but have learned to live with it. I have 2 chronically ill teenagers, a husband who works from home and won’t pick up after himself during “work” hours even though he’s making the mess during work hours, a more than full time job and 2 dogs. One dog sheds horribly regardless of using a furminator and leaves piles of hair within 10 minutes of sweeping and the dirt they both track in from outside.

No, never fully.
Right now, if someone wanted to come into my home, I would be a bit embarrassed, but I would be ok (give me ten minutes and I would be fine....Give me an hour, and I would be good.
However, our bathrooms are both in need of major work (one is fully functional but only subfloor), the bedrooms are messy, and our carpet downstairs needs to be replaced--so I would not be comfortable with anyone but super close people coming over for more than a brief stay.
Give me an hour and come over for a bit and sit and talk....more than that, sadly, I am not comfortable with people coming over because they would have to use the bathroom.
::ETA::: I have ADHD I have two teen boys They are very very busy
One has ADHD, has robotics four days a week, and has a job--- and does not drive. One is in hockey, LAX, coaches, goes to the gym and does not have a car right now. I teach high school and do social media for high school hockey My DH travels for work six days a week and is only home for a few random hours a day
There are days I feel bad that we don't have a "ready" house and I get frustrated about the projects that are incomplete, but I can't do it all and I need downtime for my sanity (personal downtime....not cleaning...that isn't downtime for me)---wish we had the money to pay someone.
