This board is kind of slow, and it is already Christmas in some parts of the world, so I thought I would start a thread for us to post about any scrappy gifts we receive! I will have to post tomorrow, but look forward to seeing what everyone received!!

Haven't received any yet, but I will report that I finally finished the PL albums I made for my sisters w/reprints of our childhood Christmas photos. When will I learn not to leave things til the last minute? Found out last nite that the older photos (they're about 3.5x3.5 w/the white border) didn't fit in the pockets I planned. There I was, 7:00 and I'm running to Michael's praying that they had more of the bigger pocket pages. Thankfully they did. But now, I can't just slip them into the 4x6 pocket - they need a background of some kind. I had 76 photos. For each sister. You do the math. While they're not my best work, my sisters will be thrilled I took the time to make the reprints, so I'm not at all sorry I made them. Just wish I would learn to start homemade gifts in July!! Hopefully I'll have some scrappy gifts to share tomorrow!

Well....does it count that I bought every single studio gold on the endcap two weeks ago at Joann and just handed over the bag to my husband as one of my gifts. He was thrilled to give me scrap stuff and I'm thrilled to be able to finally open it and play with it tomorrow. I've been waiting for the studio gold stuff for a while and was shocked when my Js finally filled the endcap.

No crafty gifts for me, which is okay *sniff. It's not like I'm upset or anything *sniff again.

I got Michael's, Hobby Lobby and JoAnn's gift cards! My daughter works at Goodwill in a very nice area and got me a SC PL kit! Nothing was even opened inside the box. She also got me 6 other SC stamps that weren't opened. I am thrilled! She had no idea what they were, just that they were for scrapbooking/PL.
She also got a really, really nice brand new kit that had a storage box, album, stickers, fibers, ribbon, brads, metal embellishments, prima flowers, 4 stamps and an ink pad. I told her anytime they get scrappy stuff donated to be sure to buy it!

I didn't get anything scrappy, but I did give a scrappy gift. We got my mom the Anna Griffin Cuttlebug bundle and both her and my stepdad are thrilled. He's hoping she will use it when they do some of their RVing.

My SO surprised me with a scrappy gift this year. He gave me some store-made kits (and pretty much nailed my style so extra bonus points for him) and then also gave me a gift voucher to the same LSS to either take a class or buy some more scrappy goodies. He's never done anything like this before so I'm shocked and thrilled.

I got the ek success pinked circle punch and dies I wanted along with a few other dies and punches and the boys rule project life kit and some foam tape. this is the first time I have gotten any scrap goodies in a long time. I am also seriously considering Alis monthly stamp set as I love the ides of doing more journaling and love her style. A monthly class from her sounds really good. I don't have any of her stamps but took her week in the life class at CKU years ago and just love her style. I also got a new cart for my cricut that I wanted. Now I just need some time to sit down and just play. I really hope to find some time either this weekend or next to play. I really need to create.

miominmio, I *liked* the humor in your post, not the fact that you didn't get any scrappy goodies. The only scrappy thing I got was a gc to M's from my husband. The good (??) news is that he confessed to not knowing what a Silhouette Cameo is, which explains why I haven't gotten one in the five or so years it's been on my list!! Now that I cleared that up, there'd better be a Cameo under the tree next year!!!

Does it count if I bought it for myself, LOL? My Black Friday Sizzix order came when we were on vacation and a brand new Silver Bullet Cutter is also sitting in the box waiting for me. Too bad my studio is totally ripped up at the moment and I don't even have access to an empty table! But on a positive note, my cabinets are halfway installed. Countertops and new tabletops have been ordered and should be in sometime next week, and the extra cabinets I added to the plan after the fact should be in around the 12th. I really missed having my big work tables available for wrapping gifts and working on little stuff for the holidays!

Opened a Cameo yesterday and there's another box for me to open today that DS (age 9) says, "it's just scrapbooking stuff." Had to explain to him that to me scrapbooking stuff = toys.

My husband refuses to buy me anything for Christmas that is scrapbooking related. He says I have enough and he is correct. But my dear girlfriend just signed up for a monthly subscription with Gossamer Blue. She gave me her first month's kit. I thought that was so sweet of her.

This is the first year in many that I received scrappy supplies! I received a new silhouette blade, a cricut mat (which needs to be returned/exchanged for a silhouette one), some much needed adhesive refills, some hot glue sticks (even glitter and colorful ones!), a glue dot runner, and a pair of Cutterbee scissors. And sort of scrappy, a new back up hard drive for my pictures and a variety pack of small pliers for my other crafts. My boys did great this year

It sounds like many of us had a lovely Christmas giftwise!
I got myself 2 October Afternoon Santa Sacks with money my father sends me every year for Christmas. One already arrived, but still waiting on the other one...#4!
My lovely Mother in Law (and sneaky husband) surprised the heck out of me with a Selphy 910cp! My MIL sometimes has trouble buying for me so back in November I told my husband if she has trouble tell her to get me this Selphy photo printer. He says, "Oh she already got you something." I figure it's a bag because she LOVES purses and she knew I was looking for a new small bag. So Christmas day we go over there in the afternoon, I open my gift: a cute Kate Spade bag! Nice gift right? Then awhile later after the kids have opened most of their gifts I get another box handed to me...from my Father in Law...(she does all the shopping though, so it is really from both of them) what could it be? Tada! The Selphy! I was SO surprised and my husband started laughing and saying that he had sent the link to his mother saying: "I know you already got her the bag, but this is what she really wants!" Is he a keeper or what?!
One small side note...I was annoyed it did not come with any paper...I went to use it and nothing in the box, and she didn't realize she had to get any, so I had to order it and the long wait begins!

Your Selphy should have come with a starter pack of five 4x6 photo papers and an ink cartridge to print the five pics.

Your Selphy should have come with a starter pack of five 4x6 photo papers and an ink cartridge to print the five pics. Not sure if this is because it is an Australian one, but it doesn't have any paper or ink...it says in small letters on the box "Ink Cassette and Paper not included". It also says this in the manual...meanies.
