Hi everyone! I managed to go to Denny's for breakfast with my mum this morning and still make it back in time to post here! I did watch a few episodes of Selling Sunset yesterday so my plan today is to watch a few more ... I love that show! I may need to take my teacher friend to run some errands too ... he doesn't have a car ... why do none of my friends ever have cars?? If he wants to come over for dinner he is invited ... not sure what we will have ... This is what I posted on Facebook today ... I live in yoga pants but never do yoga! Anyone else live in yoga pants? How is your dh feeling today **GypsyGirl** ? Have you got your phone cleaned up yet scrapmaven ? How is camping going jeremysgirl ? What are your plans today? What is on your menu tonight? Have a relaxing Sunday everybody!

Happy Football Sunday!
I'm so excited to cheer on my Seahawks this afternoon. I splurge every year for NFL Sunday Ticket so I can get out of market games so I can watch my Hawks and keep up with my fantasy team. My dad and I used to go to watch parties but as the game went on, people would get drunker and drunker and be pretty abusive verbally. It got old so I decided we'd watch at home.
Tonight we're having Slow Cooker French Dips and German Potato Salad. I'm heading out to brunch with the familyand then I'll probably come home and take a nap before the game.
Hope you all have a great day!

Yesterday I made chicken soup from the bones of a rotisserie chicken. I'm hoping the family will be down for that tonight.

Camping is nice. I was up until 10:30 last night!!! And I slept in until 8. Crazy for me. But it's vacation.
I had a slow morning. Drinking coffee in my rocking camp chair. Then Jeremy came out and cooked us some breakfast burritos. We are having foil pack dinners. Kielbasa with potatoes, onions, and green peppers. Although I'll be honest with you, I ate chili last night and then breakfast this morning and my gut is not reacting to food right. I cannot tell if it is because of the Prednisone or the animal products. I'll be going back to my plant based diet when we get home.
I just got this new cookbook and I've been reading it. I preordered it months ago. I did rainbow plant life for 3 month and I loved her meal plan recipes. It is more than a collection of recipes it is like a huge vegan cooking lesson. It is fabulous so far.
We are on a mission right now to fill propane tanks. We thought we had more than we did. We will get some ice too.
It is going to rain this afternoon right during the nascar race so Jeremy has an excuse to watch TV during it. I'll just be hanging out. Yarn crafts. Reading. Chilling.
I don't know if I told you but his mom, and his two sets of aunts and uncles are coming up tomorrow to camp with us for three days. They'll be leaving Thursday morning. I hate that his mom has to sleep in our camper. It's too small for a third person. But we will enjoy the company.
Have a great day!

Good morning! We walked but it was too hot and my leg started bothering me. I'm rethinking dinner plans to something that doesn't use the oven. Maybe Sloppy Joe's. I'll head to the grocery store in a bit. I hope everyone has a relaxing Sunday. I've decided that my Sunday memes will be messages that I find inspiring.

At least no one can give you a hard time about what you are eating! Sorry the food isn't agreeing with you but I can understand why ...

Normal Sunday here. A quick chat with our boys to sort out dates for our trip back to Oz at Christmas - it is looking like I’ll head out on Dec 12th, to be home for DS2’s birthday in the 14th and DH will come a week later to be there for Christmas, then we’ll fly back together on Jan 6th. Then church - DH and our main community organiser came up with a plan to help our dear old priest who is becoming forgetful. There are 3 guys in the community - DH is one - who used to be altar helpers when they were younger. Each week when Fr. G is saying Mass, one of them will be his assistant. We tried it today and it seemed to go well, without him feeling offended. After lunch I did more vacation planning - I booked a walk tour in Venice for our first morning and a boat tour to Murano and Burano for the following afternoon. I also emailed my surgeon as I received a phone call from the hospital on Thursday telling me I needed to book a PET scan, but when I tried to do so, I didn’t have the proper referral and I didn’t get an answer when I tried calling the number that had called me, so I’m not sure how to proceed. Hopefully he’ll answer tomorrow or Tuesday and I can get it sorted.
Dinner tonight is grilled steak and Mediterranean vegetable. Our weather has just changed during the course of today - from warm summer to almost fall-like, so our summer grill season may be coming to an end.

But we've either got to fold down the table and make that into a bed or fold down the couch and make that into a bed. I'd rather have her on the couch. But Jeremy insists on the table. And then the two of them won't put the bed stuff away every morning and put my damn camper right. She got the hint last time with her suitcase. I told her there was not room in the camper to move around with her suitcase in the way. And she kept it in her SUV.

Good morning, my lovelies. Thank you so much for the thoughtful wishes yesterday. I appreciate you all so much. I finished the major stuff on my phone and computer, yesterday. So, today I'm just doing stuff as I think about it. DH thinks it was malware on my phone. So, today I vow to enjoy the day. I am going to look for a new video game and download it. It's my gift to myself. I will open my new Lego, too. Then it's beddy-bye time, because tmw is a school day. HAHA! I sound like a kid. My inner child is strong. Anyway, I won't build the Lego today, but I want to see what I'm getting into. @teddy, I'll let you know what I find. Dh is going to be watching football. I'll watch tmw night's game w/him, cause that's the one I care about. Dinner is tacos, per dh's request. I need to make bruschetta, because we have so many tomatoes. I'll do that tmw and make something to go w/it. Tearisci , I remember when you were diagnosed and that whole hellish story. I wanted to reach through the screen and punch your Ex-hole. Now you are thriving, having fun and eating delicious dinners. You have a long, happy life in front of you. cadoodlebug , your meme is truly good. I meant to thank you for hosting the thread last week. I apologize. You are a brilliant thread host in my absence. You can join leannec and I at our secret club. LOL. jeremysgirl , Pred is nasty stuff, but it does the job. Your taste might be off and it upsets the stomach for many people. That sucks when you're on vacation. Nevertheless, have a great time and enjoy the fun.

I may need to take my teacher friend to run some errands too ... he doesn't have a car ... why do none of my friends ever have cars?? So many schools are in suburban areas and teachers tend to carry a lot of things IME, so I'm surprised a teacher doesn't have a car. But I completely understand why other people living in a big city with good transit don't have cars. I just got this new cookbook and I've been reading it. I preordered it months ago. I did rainbow plant life for 3 month and I loved her meal plan recipes. It is more than a collection of recipes it is like a huge vegan cooking lesson. It is fabulous so far. I follow her on IG and was hoping she'd announce a book tour but couldn't find anything. I found out after the fact that she had an event last week at a local book store in San Diego. Oh and I'm also a 6 year breast cancer survivor today! it's a good day Congratulations!! I'm hiding inside from the heat today and will probably watch some football between puttering between crafting, puzzle and reading. DH is out in the yard because he just doesn't feel the heat the same way. Yesterday he was out for his 2 hour bike ride and then outside for the Greek Festival. I was inside for yoga and then met friends for an inside lunch. I'lll do the inside prep work for dinner and he will do the outside grilling of Italian sausages along with asparagus, eggplant, onions and peppers. Zucchini, too, if there is any in the fridge. I'll also wrap potatoes in foil with olive oil and seasons for him to place in a corner of the grill.

WhenI went downstairs this morning, I realized the heat had kicked on😱😱😱😱 OMG, it was chilly this morning , however every window was open ....I fixed that right quick, with the thermostat...not ready to close windows yet!!!
I am back to work tonight after being off since 8/21...not quite sure I am ready to go back😊 I am missing my Grace every day....we had a routine....so there is a hole...
Dinner will be pizza, as is the norm for sunday nights that I work. I'll be napping and DH will pick it up and eat when he is ready, I'll eat when I get up or take some for a midnight snack!

But I completely understand why other people living in a big city with good transit don't have cars. We are a big city with an OK transit system at best ... I don't know how he does it! Calgarians love their cars and trucks! We drive everywhere! I think this guy is just cheap! He has lost a lot of weight since he began taking the bus everywhere ... but my time is more valuable ... he spends hours on the bus everyday ... no thanks.

Happy Sunday! Another glorious morning so I spent some time outside with my coffee this morning. DH called so we switched to FaceTime and I gave him a tour of how the garden and beds looked after the garden clean up a couple of weeks ago. Also discovered that the arugula seeds have sprouted and are growing! Today I have to get serious about getting organized for the quilt retreat on Friday. I also signed up for the secret partner swap and need to get something made for that as well. Still drawing a blank on what I want to do though. Absolutely no idea about dinner. Need to stop at HEB on the way home so may grab something there to heat up at home. Congratulations Tearisci on making the 6 year mark!

DH and I went for a 20 km bike ride along the waterfront in the city this morning. Although yesterday felt like winter, it has warmed up a bit today. I wore a long sleeve shirt, hoodie and a wind breaker and I was very comfortable during the bike ride. We wanted to stop at our favourite fry truck for lunch but there was about 100 motorcycles/ riders in the parking lot so we opted for Dairy Queen. I love motorcycles but didn’t want to wait for 100 food orders before we could eat. Yesterday I printed off our cruise boarding passes and luggage tags. This is really happening! Not sure about supper yet. Tearisci: Yahoo to you!!

Oh and I'm also a 6 year breast cancer survivor today! it's a good day That is AWESOME! Not sure if you know, but several of our dear dinner peeps are also breast cancer survivors. I have a close friend / former co-worker who is a 14-year -survivor. I had a bunch of these buttons made for our co-workers to wear. My older sister has alllllways been so negative, and I only just recently realized that she also gaslights me. Anyhoo----when she saw these ADORA-BULl buttons, all she said " what did bulldogs do to help cure cancer?" It was one of those "ohhh, I'm only JOKING, you're so sensitive", but it was SO passive-aggressive! (oops, sorry---this is why I stop posting sometimes, because I tend to ramble )

ok, back from GS camp. the cook was a summer camp cook.. I thought it was ok.. but not really an "adult menu" and the options for vegetarians were lame at best.
with what I eat now, there was nothing much to pick from for breakfast and lunch.. (had 1 piece of bacon and some berries for breakfast) but I brought my own food so I didn't starve.
I think I might go out for meals next year.. town is 10 min away
I did lots of scrapbooking. dh ordered out food when I was gone, so I don't have to worry about dinner tonight!!! yeah. dd is going to a favorite artist concert.. some japanese performer. so that is exciting. I have fun catching up with old friends and making new ones.
back to the gym this week.. and lots and lots of cleanup to do.

leannec ....Did your arm bleed anymore? Like I said yesterday, I wonder about your clotting factors. Do you take a lot of NSAIDS (Motrin, Advil, Aleve, etc. ) I'm curious what karenlou and teddyw think (do we have other nurses here at the table? ) I can't wait to start "Selling Sunset" soon! OMG, and what you said about Chelsea appearing PANTS-LESS? Surprized she isn't a model----she has such a stunning face, and those extra-long legs !!!! **GypsyGirl** .....Is the retreat you're talking about the same as the last one, where you posted alllllll those beautiful photos? Today I'm excited to try a new, fun grocery store that's a bit far from us, but I don't mind the drive at all---DH is just concerned about me going alone. I couldn't drive for a couple years, so it is always such a blast to be independent again! I think he must be happy not to have to drive me every. single. place. anymore, but he's too kind to say anything.

leannec I sometimes use liquid bandage as just toweling dry can reopen scabs. Tearisci That must feel good! Today I'm working on our phones, updating them, backing up photos. I'm thinking of finally buying icloud storage as it's so difficult backing up photos at least on my computer. My next one needs airdrop as long as it converts files to jpeg and mov. Tonight is leftover korean food from last night along with some frozen korean food.

Congratulations Tearisci on your 6 year survival mark! I still haven't been able to eat proper meals. Last night I made myself some pumpkin soup, and I even had two bowls of it. There is enough for lunch today as well. I have to start work in 15 minutes, after two full weeks off. BOOOOOOO!!! My boss said I could work from home all week thankfully, so at least I didn't have to drag myself all the way into town today. It will probably take me three days to go through my emails. Ugh.

so I had a food tragedy at my house. my daughter in law left a box of Tam Tams (australian cookie) and two chocolate bars from new zealand, right before they left on the plane. I said I would mail them to her friend in san diego this week. (no big deal). I left them in front of the tv, cause that is where they were packing the suitcases. I came home from my weekend, and dh ate the tam tams and a chocolate bar without asking, texting or whatever. so now I get to call my daughter in law and tell her I can't mail them to her friend.
I am mad at dh for not taking 1 second to send me a text. aaaggg!
